Language: English (Regional Setting: English)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

8192MB RAM

DirectX 11

TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 1TB

Turns out the Visual Basic is helpful to the game itself, or so it would seem, need to test for a few more days to be sure. The problem was how I was "installing" swtor, I'd migrate the data over to a new system, install directX and neglect the visual basic run time because I would never run the installer. I had belived the Visual Basic runtime was simply there for the launcher (which functioned normally I might add), if I'm incorrect could someone more knowledgeable explain to me how this helps the game iteself along?

No, this definatly did NOT help, it's still an issue, except now it's more or less only while in combat. IS this a server issue?

If you ask in general chat and some say yes and some say no , then it is likely a path issue between you and the servers.

What can you do about it, not a lot, short term you can use the 30 day free trial of www.wtfast.com , that may help for now, mind if this lag isn't gone in 30 days something is up. Mind lag can come and go nature of the net.

A tracert and pathping as per - http://www.swtor.com/community/showt...hp?t=498597#67 to the servers may help identify where the issue is, getting it fixed is a different thing though.

The problem is, is that this isn't server lag, this is system lag that cropped up all of a sudden because OTHER games are now lagging as well, did an Intel driver update occur I'm not aware of that borked everything?

Take the system to a clean boot - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Windows Power Management is still on "High Performance" ?

Free space on the drive is good ?

Edit - Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 this is below spec (4100+) , 2 thoughts go back to the manufacturers driver or alternatively use this - http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

•ATI X1800 or better
•nVidia 7800 or better
•Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better

yes is on high performance, plenty of free space, and I realize this is technically below specs, but I used to be able to play JUST fine, rolling the drivers back a bit HAS helped, but i'm still getting a massive amount of lag, rolling back to 3341 seems to have gotten it a bit better, but I don't remember the last version to run correctly so this is where my problem is at, I've had this card play this game on low smoothly before.

Install this directx redist - http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/downl...s.aspx?id=8109

Go to these settings in the spoiler in the client_settings file and see what impact they have
•Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time.
•Copy the following in to the text box and press ok: %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings
•Open the client_settings.ini file

Spoiler

I have an anti throttling program on now as I kept trying to fix this, MOST of it has been cleared up, but I didn't USED to need these programs to run it smooth. as for the temps it's usually around 55C now, where as before it would easily climb to 70-75C
