I take it you haven't heard of multitasking?

In case you haven't, you see it's this cool thing where I can multiple things at once. Amazing I know.

By making it adaptive and bound to legacy they just made it superior to the one crafters can make. Who will want the crafted one now? Its now useless. They should have made the crafted one adaptive instead. I would have been cool with that. The fact that it is the same as the crafted one bothers me even more than the valor rank.

Even if they had made it similar to the crafted one I would have been cool with it. For example, they made the dread seed armor similar to the empire version of war hero vindicators/war leader. But at the same time it stands out. They should have done that instead. What Bioware did, by making it exactly identical was not only wrong but pure laziness.

increasing valor rank takes much longer than getting the recovered relics. You can easily buy these relics from the gtn, since credits are easy to get. You can't buy a higher valor rank with credits. Therefore, it is a much longer task.
Please get your facts straight people. I don't mean to be offensive, but I feel like I am the only smart person left on the planet.
Now you're changing the reason for your outrage from what you originally posted. Your OP expressed anger because you had to "work so hard" to get valor rank 60, and now people can get this same skin with less "work." Had you jumped on the "it hurts crafters" argument from the get go, you might have received more support. Because, in that regard I do understand the complaint. I'm not a crafter, but Bioware has repeatedly hurt the crafting market by putting items in the cartel market. I think that hurts crafting much more than being able to obtain a complete set of adaptive legacy gear that happens to look the same as battlemaster gear, though.

As for the argument that it's much easier to get than battlemaster, that's not exactly true. Or at least not as drastic as you make it seem. To get Valor 60, you have to be level 55. Then you have a few more wzs to get the rest of the way. To que for the Tactical FPs from which you can get Recovered Relics (which do not always drop), you have to be level 55. For the full set, you need 12 Recovered Relics. Meaning that at best, you're running those FPs a total of 12 times. And that's if you get a drop each time and win the drop against three other people each time. So, it's more than likely you'll need much more than 12 of the FPs to get enough Recovered Relics for the full set.

Yes, you can purchase the Recovered Relics. But, unless you have multiple level 55s with which to run dailies, you're unlikely to be able to afford them from the GTN. So, again, level 55s are almost a necessity, unless you're just buying from the CM and selling on the GTN to raise money, or doing a lot of crafting prior to hitting 55.

TLDR: you pretty much need to be level 55 for either Battlemaster or the Tattered Set. So, the "work" is pretty much the same either way.

And you're obviously the only smart person left on the planet. I mean, you're arguing with strangers on the internet about a video game. If that doesn't scream, "I'm a genius, hear my thoughts," then I don't know what does.

this is a game, explain to me how morals apply to armor that technically only exists as pixels on a computer screen!?

I can understand the concerns that folks have that have earned exclusive gear sets, but I think that what benefits the game overall has to trump exclusivity.

It is unfortunate, certainly, but in the end the devs have to do what is best for the game IMO, and opening up these sets to the masses is one of those things.

Now, I think that changing the coloring or patterns a bit to make them visibly different would have been a wise move.

Valor ranking never tied back to PVP skill or playing as a team or even working hard.

All it showed is that a player with a high Valor ranking spent a lot of time playing PVP. Some of the worst players (PVP and PVE) I've ever met had high Valor rankings simply because they played a lot of PVP.

As such, I see no reason they shouldn't re-release anything that was once tied to Valor as it always was and still is a pointless stat.

What is a datamined link? And why is it against the rules?

Yes, They spent a lot of time. That is the point. That means only people who play a lot of warzones can get the rank and wear that piece of gear. That symbolizes that you play a lot of warzones. I like being able to show that status. Now that means nothing.
