wow OP... Never been in HM and you create this thread. All be it HM are not hard. All you need is a group with actual raid awareness, which is rare in PUGs.

SWTOR does have some tough challenges:

Group
Level 50: NiM EC + 10 Stack Dreadtooth + Dreadful Entity
Level 55: "From Beyond" + "Dragonslayer" + "Eternal Warrior" + "Gatecrasher" + "Conqueror of the Dread Fortress"

Solo
Level 50:
HM False Emperor
SM Lost Island
HM Maelstrom Prison/Foundry
Level 55:
HM Lost Island
Gargath
HM Athiss
HM Cadimemu
HM Mandalorian Raiders
HM Hammer Station

Don't wait for a challenge, find little ways of challenging yourself!

Go through the game without armor on, only beginning adaptive stuff that looks great.

Don't choose an advanced class

If you are an Operative, try to go through game unequipping your blaster rifle and only using your knives all the time

Try and memorize every cutscene

Make more characters and go through the game saying a different thing each time, don't pay attention to alignment

Play the game with sprint off

Play the game without a mount

Don't use your buff

There are loads of little things you can do to constantly challenge yourself and switch it up. I for one do the no advanced class on a character, the knife only on my Operative and sometimes no high level armor. I just use very, very good looking adaptive armor and put it on with no mods. Very nice challenges!
Always be who you are, not what the galaxy wants you to be

I am not looking to beat my head against a wall but I want something to feel a sense of accomplishment when defeating a "boss". I think that this is the games biggest problem. Bioware can get away with having new content (flashpoints/operations) once every year if it was consistently challenging. The difficulty of content can increase its shelf life.

So, does anyone else feel bored with the PvE content? What do you do to keep the game fresh and prevent it from becoming boring?
For the outside world, leave my companion behind. For flashpoints, I don a set of orange armor with no mods. Doing both makes the game almost suicidal.

That reminds me of a Naked False Emperor Run my old guild used to do. The only equipment you were allowed to carry was a mainhand and offhand.

I've broken plenty of console controllers over the years, and patched plenty of drywall to boot. It's a GAME. You want a challenge? Put on vendor gear (white) and run it. We don't need some uber hardcore mode just because 7 out of 2M people don't feel challenged. Then again, most people who yell about wanting a challenge have seldom completed everything in the game.
hahahahaha, I played, and beat, all those games, they were hard, but worth it =P.

I really do not understand the venom from the same usual suspects. You know who you are. The distortion of the logic here is astounding.

This post has become typical. Someone makes a statement about the game's deficiencies and the defenders of the game "ride in". Unfortunately, your input was unnecessary and invalid.

Some of you suggested some creative ideas for making gameplay challenging and unique. I sincerely thank you for you inputs. Unfortunately, as a casual player the time-gate prohibits me from enjoying some of your suggestions.

For those of you that incorrectly assumed that HM/NM OPS are foreign to me, I find the expression regarding assuming to be adequate in this situation.

The post about my "sense of entitlement" with the game was rather interesting. First, I pay for the game the same as all of you. Is it a sense of entitlement to want challenging content? I guess everyone that clamored for housing, free-roaming space content, and more class-stories just want the game catered to them as well? Are they whining?

I think the best way to illustrate the point I was trying to make is using FFXIV ARR as an example. The content for elder game is by no means difficult (as some of you have suggested) but it is challenging. They release content that is catered towards a specific gear level with a focus on mechanics (Thorn HM/EX, Titan HM/EX, Pharos Sirus, etc). The mechanics are what make the content fresh (IMO). I feel that BW with their 55 HM FP and new FPs do not achieve this level of "sophistication".

I would love to see something like LI HM (pre-nerf). I think this content was challenging but not insanely difficult. It was relatively easy to put a group together and have fun for 1-1.5 hours. Perhaps, the combat system just does not lend itself to a FFXIV ARR/ Wildstar level of mechanics.

To preempt the go play those games comments, I will say that I love SW. I enjoyed SWTOR for awhile. I want this game to be successful. When I look at our roadmap with current content, I just do not see anything exciting on the horizon. Hence, why I asked for input.

I have to do a lot of reading between the lines, but it sounds like you're saying this:

"The recently released flashpoints do not have complex mechanics associated with them. I would like newer flashpoints to be made with more complex mechanics (as was done with Lost Island)."

Is this correct?
