some how they have made event rewards even worse then the other events they do. once again tor shows no understanding of what the players want. i remember the holiday events on swg that gave us some very nice items like paintings for are homes and the like.

this is just awful. more so it looks like you wont win unless you spend a ton of credits/cartel coins.
Joshua: A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
I'll tell you what, then. Why don't you call me some time when you have no class?

I much prefer being given weapons rather than home furnishings. Maybe I'm the only one.

The Tommy gun has no place in a SW game. Regardless how "starwarsified" it might look, it`s still an iconic weapon for something else. It IS lore breaking. Now, with the technical things out of the way, I STILL don`t give a darn, as I LOVE that weapon

My Agent has the DLA-13 and had the W2000 lookalike weapon (Ten-Kilometer Killer I think is the name) for PvE purposes for a LONG time. She could use the Tommy gun instead for PvE

There's nothing lorebreaking about the Tommy-lookalike. You just associate it with something you know, but that doesn't make it lorebreaking. The designs of blaster rifles varies, so it'd only be logical someone wanted to design something original (looking at it with 'in universe' goggles on).

Am I the only one who's a bit disappointed that the blaster pistol got left out of any color crystal lighting?

I figure if Dex Jettster's Diner in the movies can look just like a 1950s greasy-spoon diner, there's nothing that odd about a blaster rifle looking just like a tommygun.

It is a proud tradition started by the budgetary restraints of the original movies. Han Solo's gun was a Broomhandle Mauser, the Stormtrooper blasters were British Sterling sub-machine guns, and the Stormtrooper heavy blasters were MG34s and Lewis Guns.

It could hardly be more Star Wars than to give an iconic 20th Century gun this treatment.

I like 'em

But to each his own. It's not like they made them look ugly on purpase or anything. Lots of people have been asking for weapons that are more based on real weapons (like in the movies) and they provide that. And the rest looks ok as well (I don't care about companion customizations so that's why it's only ok, but the other stuff looks great).

On the one hand, I do think the tommy gun is way too iconic to just drop in the game like this, but on the other hand ALL the weapons in the original movies were based on real weapos (some more obvious than others) so I guess it's ok.
Personally I would have preferred it if they had used weapons that were a little more difficult to identify than the Thompson and the Walther P38, but it's better than not doing it at all.

Great reply!!! Awesome reasoning!
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force
