Yeah, but you can imagine how many people will play that under slightly different circumstances. "Woah, man, that's so wild........."

awful optimization

crappy quests

I can see the pvp being really good, but as the game stands, the leveling process is so bad I'll never see it.
There will be addons to customize the UI (Bioshock UI for everyone ), but I agree the beginner zones are just underwhelming (giant purple trees does not a cool planet make). That being said around level 17 the zones got better.

Since when a raid boss being "insane" makes a raid good?
SWTOR has a story. It's one of the most basic appeals of the game. Plus, it's not ANY random story, it's a Star Wars story. And I'd be willing to bet the majority of players are here because of the Star Wars theme, so any story is by definition better than anything Wildstar devs could come up with.

What's so great about the PVE story in Wildstar, apart from "insane" bosses?
Is Ben 10 having a hard time with puberty?
Master Kalchas Captain Santé
Darth Dírge Agent Héretic

8/10 for opening MS Paint and drawing a picture to make your point

I'm playing the open beta and will probably sub for a month or two because my guildmates seem to have a hardon for WS and there is some pleasure to be had in trying something new.

My toon is only level 6 so I've only scratched the surface of combat and haven't done any PvP ... that said here are my impressions:
  1. Nice artwork (what new game doesn't have nice art)
  2. FPS is fine on my computer (Nvidia 560Ti, middle of the road intel CPU)
  3. coming from SWTOR, the lack of cutscenes and voice work is disappointing.
  4. I don't really care about the WildStar quest story line or lore. I like Star Wars storyline and lore
  5. Combat, gearing and skill tree (AMPS) look like they have good potential. Again, too low level to have a solid opinion here.
  6. aiming abilities matters. This makes the game richer but can *** f*** people who suffer lag. The quality of your connection matters more. E.g. in WildStar PvP an opponent could run out of your force lightning as you are channeling it (or you could actively follow him with your lightning).

In SWTOR I've done all the class story (and post 55 story). After that I mostly PvP. Despite spending a majority of my SWTOR time PvPing I'm pretty bad at PvP. I'm curious to hear how folks who are pretty good at PvP (e.g. top 10 leaderboard for their class/server) like WS PvP combat (assuming you've reached open beta max level of 30 or higher in closed beta).

I am a bad player, so what?

Making raids difficult is something that isn't done very often, especially with only one difficulty. There is no easy mode for raids. There is only 1 difficulty. Swtor has the easy mode, slightly less easy mode, and somewhat hard. The fact this game is star wars is the only reason it is still around. People will stick with star wars no matter what BS they put into it.

The story is the huge overarching plot of what happened to a super advanced race being wiped out from their home planet, and the story following the exiles being on the run from the dominion, trying to make a new home for themselves on Nexus. The story is pretty solid and is told very well all the way through.

Disagree with the "somewhat." Unless you easily got both "From Beyond" and "Dragonslayer" before 2.7 came out, then you can't really say that current NiM is easy. Heck, very few players have "Conqueror of the Dread Fortress."

Not really. The stories in our raids are pretty random and could be used in an space mmo or really any game. DF/DP tows the line and EV is EU for those folks. But the average guy who loves Star Wars and just has watched the original trilogy 100 times and knows every line in the films wouldn't find anything particularly Star War-sy about any of our OPs. None of our OPs are Rep vs. Emp. In fact it took us 2.5yrs to get anything of that sort which came in the form of the new FPs.

I for one hope this will drastically change. I hope the FPs are a sign that the new expansion and moving forward will key in on faction vs. faction like the actual films were. I could care less about some random bad guy from some EU story I've never read and don't care about.

Because quality raiders have no real reason to stick around in this game. Long content droughts. The same raids for 6-10 months. I can understand why so few players actually have it. Swtor could do a lot more on the raiding front to keep competitive raiders in their game.
