You clearly do not understand how logic works.

You are professing an issue with a game feature for which you want the developers to write code.

But if you cannot articulate your issue in a manner that enables the developers to understand a real, tangible impact on your game play, they will not undertake the effort to make the change.

I'm actually trying to help you make your point by challenging you to articulate the problem in a meaningful way.

Another poster has done that: Warzone commendations, PvE gear, and credits come too slowly in comparison to level with 2xp active.

Your complaint seems to be that players are somehow prevented from doing side and planetary quests during 2xp. That doesn't seem rational, reasonable, or true, so I'm asking you to back it up.

Can you? Or are you now trying to shift the burden of proof to the disbeliever because you've realized your argument is unsupportable and you don't want to admit it?

Or is that other poster's answer sufficient, do you think?

Why does someone that is against the idea of 2XP as a buff have to change their mind? It seems that getting someone to change their mind is more important than actually discussing the issue from both sides.

Look. This could benefit some folks. How many is speculative. The amount of people asking for it is speculative. The amount of people that do not care is speculative.

IMO we are all guessing here. But one could probably safely assume that more folks enjoy double XP than those folks that are against it.

That does not mean, IMO, this should not be a dispellable buff, but from my perspective only because it takes care of those folks that do not care for double XP AND opens the possibility of selling the buff in limited form in the future in the market.

Who's looking for people to change their mind?

I'm looking for people who can articulate a real problem that they can't solve themselves in a few mouse clicks and for zero credits.

And I found one. ONE.

Funny, the exact same thing could be said to you. But let's move on, shall we?

Pretty much everyone who wants an opt-out has already answered your question about a "real, tangible impact on your game play." The fact that you choose to pretend that those reasons don't exist doesn't change that.

And no, sticking your fingers in your ears whenever someone disagrees with you and simply repeating your original argument over and over again, so that everyone gets tired of correcting you, is not " trying to help us make our points, by challenging us to articulate the problem in a meaningful way."

Actually, as I pointed out twice already, I brought up side and planetary quests as an example of people assuming that if they love something, then 100% of the playerbase automatically loves it too and vice versa, and that their world ends when they realize that isn't the case. It had nothing to do with 2xp. You continuing to push that is meaningless. But if you had something to say about my actual point, then by all means go right ahead.

My question (that I first asked several monts ago) was very simple. Since you've stated that your problem with an opt-out is that "the only actual problem they have articulated with 2xp (because "I just don't want it" isn't a real problem) can be solved by themselves with zero effort, zero expense, and seconds of time." (quoted from YOUR post). I merely asked why you weren't applying the same standard to the people who agree with you. After all, for an argument to be valid, it can't just only apply to those who disagree with you, right?

I'm for an opt out/in to this double xp thing. Have yet to see from anyone why making it optional is a problem but plenty on being mandatory is a problem from some.

Should be a very easy thing to do, xp buffs already exist so why not just add for free unlimited buffs to all the medbots throughout the game for a weekend? Easy to get to, quick to implement, makes everyone happy.

How long as this argument been going and not a peep from Bioware about it? Space crickets but we're use to that i guess.
Allow me to use my own avatar and signature, I'll think about it. Oh wait...

I was defending your right to stand against this idea Darth. So, the answer to your question would be.....those folks that are arguing with you to try and get you to change your mind.

Though I do not agree with your view, I support your right to have that view.

I played EQ2 and used the option to turn off levelling EXP often. This helped me to build up AA's and make a character that was pretty awesome compared to a lot of water down lvl 90's who weren't as thorough with their questing. But I felt like I was alone in this way of playing.

It's true, there's few who actually play games this way, and take advantage of the content that is there. This style will not be accommodated to. It's typical to rush to max level, to have the E-peen or whatever. That's why we have serious fast levelling, why developers don't bother making meaningful content at max level, why there wont be further class story missions for a long time (if at all). It's far easier cheaper and more profitable to cater to the treadmill gerbils who just want to run dailies and kill monster of the day, accumulate some shiny coins that don't really mean much, rather than being engaged in a story of any kind.

This is why we can't have nice things. Players have nobody but themselves to blame.

Bluster, garbage, no point, no logic... oh, there in the end!

I don't need to justify my POV because I'm not asking the developers to undertake effort to support it. My stance is the "no effort, no change" stance.

People who want the change should be able to articulate a reasonable, tangible benefit to the change, shouldn't they?

One has.

Can you?

Some people really enjoy arguing and debate as opposed to trying to generate ideas and solutions. It is sort of like forum pvp. I understand and respect the mental exercise of that, but I do not believe this thread is the place for that nor is the suggestion box. I do not enjoy debate/arguing/ or pvp either.
