Midnight is the end of the sale, not the beginning of the last hour. There are only 4 sales left after this current one. Eradicators go up until 8pm Destroyer goes up until 9pm Character rename goes up until 10pm Bundle Pack goes up until 11pm (just realized there is no species bundle anymore, so this must be one of the other ones) Tauntaun goes up until midnight, when the sale end.

It is possible for people to be excited about something without it being the thing they are excited most about. This just happens to be what is going on right now, hence the focus on it today. The Strongholds announcement generated way more threads and posts when it was announced than this sale did, and I'm willing to bet next Tuesday we'll start to see plenty of people talking about the new Forged Alliances storyline that's getting kicked off in 2.7 (which is probably the thing I'm actually most excited for at the moment).
