This friday I resubscribed for swtor after not having played in half a year.
I bought the one-off package for 60 days, paid via ideal and according to
the site my account is set to subscriber status. When I log into the game
however, the game tells me I'm still preferred and can subscribe on the site.

Swtor customer support could you please check my account and allow me to
play as a subscriber, as playing with preferred characters is just not the same.
It also says I have 58 subscribed game days left, please reset that timer as well
as I have not been able to enjoy subscriber privileges yet.

You are best phoning them (voip is a cheap option) to have this sorted quickly, can also email them at if you cant create an in-game ticket

Okay, well I figured out what the issue is.
Instead of writing my name with underscores between the words (unas_the_slayer)
I actually logged in as unastheslayer, for which the swtor site was good enoug to
create an account for. This explains why I could not send mails to my main mail address
via the swtor site. I did not recieve an error, but the mails just did not arrive.
I will resubscribe on my main account, but could you still be able to transfer the remaining
subscriber play time from unastheslayer to unas_the_slayer, then I would at least not have
wasted my money

Did you relog completely since you bought the sub for your account status to change?

Yeah I did have to call customer support.
Fixed my issue after talking for about 5-10 minutes.
