They've already said they're not going to "just copy and paste" that. So, in 2 years when they finally make a robe that actually looks like a Jedi would wear it, add 2 of the 5 following things:
Backpack, disproportioned and blinking
Antennae, disproportioned and blinking
Huge shoulderpad
Blinking lights
Mid-section sized chuck cut out to show some skin

and there you have your Bioware it!™ version of Jedi Robes. Brace yourselves, and remember this post when it happens.

Honestly, they're they only company in 30 years worth of Star Wars games to actively choose to make it look as un-Star Wars-like as possible. And then take it that step farther and flat-out refuse to add the iconic Star Wars looks.....it's embarrassing for them. And it's costing them my sub. Between refusing to do things like this, and using the ugly-as-sin Obroan shells for 5 consecutive gear sets (2 pve, 2pvp, and the Season 1 Rewards), it's too much. If they don't want my sub, they don't have to have it, and they choke on their cartel market.

I played because there was a game to play, not because there was a Cartel Market to buy **** from.

The CM pack stuff is being developed several months before it's released. Regardless, there are traditional looking Jedi robes.....the Relnex armor set. I don't understand why people are still whining about this.

It has no matching pants, has a belt around the brown robe that looks dumb and short sleeves on the brown robe and the shirt looks tucked in. Interpunction ftw.

Oh they're well able to do it.
http://s12.postimg.org/bwyfo50p9/artwork.png Actually they can just add long sleeves to this one, get rid of the chains and straps (beautifully photoshopped) and remove the rag that hangs from the chains. Instead of the chains and rag, they should put a tabard there (like on the Tythonian Aspiring Knight set) and we get our Jedi robes. Seriously, why not? Why similar stuff (to the traditional robes) exists but it's plagued by tight sleeves and huge pieces of metal?

Aw maaan, I was hoping to be able to get in here first and point out all those "huge" differences

*no matching pants (even tho other sets' pants work well with it, the actual set has no matching pants)
*has a belt on the outside of the robe (almost as if they had a different fashion 3000 years before the movies)
*has short sleeves (oh the humanity)
*the shirt is tucked in (damned manners!)

Meanwhile, in the bounty hunter corner:

*the helmet is completely wrong on so many levels.
*there are no light armoured chestpieces in the mandalorian style, only super heavy armored or what looks like a padded vest
*only oversized armored gloves, no thin ones
*all the boots are super armored
So either we look like a walking bankvault or we have to pilfer other classes outfits to scrounge together a look that even slightly resembles the boba fett armor.

But hey, every time I mention that the jedi set differences are minor, I always hear "the troopers and bounty hunters all look like they did in the movies".

I ask you this: In which of the movies did you see this? or this, this or this?

Now, don't get me wrong.
I don't mind the look of bounty hunters in the game. I don't actually want the boba fett look. It would ruin my immersion since that look wasn't invented until a few thousand years later.

But I am using it to point out that A: "the other classes have their iconic looks" is a flawed argument and B: fashion changes over time. The outfits you want were worn 300 years ago yes (and 3000 years later to some degree), but that doesn't mean that jedi wear them now.
"but the jedi are an order, they don't wear fashion and they all dress the same" you might say.
Really?
Did anakin look like a regular jedi to you?
Did the council reprimand him for his choice in clothing?
No.
It's a choice to wear those outfits and during this time in the star wars universe, it was simply more popular to wear short sleeves, tucked in shirts and belts on the outside of the robes.

This actually makes quite a bit of sense since in the movies, the jedi had not been at war for a very long time, but here they are very much at war. And then it makes sense to tuck in that shirt, shorten your sleeves and put the belt on the outside of the robe to stop it from flapping around too much in combat.

Anyway, I hope they release a "traditional" (bah!) jedi robe soon so that people will shut up about it.
But I'm sure they won't. They'll complain about some minute detail. *oh the shirt is too long* or *the leggings are not creased enough* or *there needs to be more v-neck* or whatever.

Point is most people in these threads won't be satisfied unless they get an exact copy of the one in the movies (or in kotor)

So you're trolling a thread by highlighting the pettiness of being unhappy about visual differences in one armor style by listing visual differences you're unhappy about in another armor style? I'm sorry you can't be boba fett.

Part of the problem is that BW may well already think that they have put traditional jedi robes in the game.

Just because they look like trash to me or you, does not mean that applies to everyone else.

Just because it annoys the hell out of me that they cannot fix the robes glitching on seated speeders, which for me removes a massive amount of clothing from my potential wardrobe, does not mean that everyone is the same, some people are happy to look like trash.

You just skimmed through the text didn't you?

I don't want to be boba fett.

I was pointing out that the differences are tiny but whenever that is brought up, the advocates of "traditional" jedi robes always point out that "the other classes look like they do in the movies" which is a flawed argument.
And that was my entire point.

and you missed it.

No, I was spot on. I got the "point" you were attempting to make. But, your troll was fail as the basis of your argument is /facepalm.

Create your own thread, you'd probably receive a lot of support...including from me.

Oddball we all know the robes don't have sleeves and the belts are over the top because they don't want to deal with clipping issue. But apparently it's ok on speeders...

I will argue that troopers, smugglers, and agents have great choices
