Is there a way to delete or "fix" a local version of a character? For some reason it is only affecting one character on one computer which leads me to believe there's something corrupt about whatever is on my computer, but the server side is communicating something that's messing with the computer. Any thoughts on how tor refresh a local version of a character, if there is one?

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue as reported on this thread on the 05/27/2014 (or 27/05/2014 for all citizens outside the U.S.A)

I know you probably have several feet of complains about this issue and maybe just a few inches away from resolving it.

But I implore you. Turn away from the Empires Imperial system.

Use the Republics metric system. This issue, and others like them, will never be seen again.

The birds will once more fly free, and the laughter of children shall once more echo in the fields. :P

Cheers,

George

To help us look into this, there's some steps we'd like you to take and some information that we'd like you to provide below.

If you have a character that is affected by this please attempt to log into the character that’s having the issue and wait at least 10 minutes for the character to log in – even if the cog stops spinning.

If you are able to login:
  • How long did it take?
  • Where were you when you logged in? (Planet/Area)

If you were not able to login;
  • How long did you wait?
  • Which server are you characters located on?
  • Are all your characters affected?

Thanks for your patience thus far.
I have tried time and time again and all of my characters have trouble logging in. Also if i finally get in, ill play for 5 to 10 minuets and then i get error code 9000. Then i have emailed customer service and was told to look in the forums for help and still no luck.

So ... seriously. Just to be sure, can someone from Support respond to this thread to make sure we're even being listened to? I see a lot of posts from people, but nothing form support from the initial post. If you can't come up with a solution, let us know and we can work on rebuilding characters and starting over or cancelling if that's the case, but this has been going on for a while and the limbo is probably worse than the ultimate conclusion that there is no fix.

Since customer support has been silent on this, I'll offer a solution that worked for me. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was able to log on to the character giving me trouble on another computer (laptop, not sure that is significant though). On that test, I didn't move the character at all, played with stuff in the inventory then logged out. I tried it again last night but this time I changed location. I was in the hangar in Balmorra and took my fleet pass to the fleet. I tried again this morning to log on to the character giving me trouble on my main computer (desktop, not sure that is significant) and I logged on with no issues at all. Until I'm given proof to the contrary, I think something has gotten corrupt on the local information on a particular character and until you change something that forces the system to fully download the information from the servers, you're stuck. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

I am experiencing character load issues with at least two of my characters. I've waited at least fifteen minutes for one of them and several minutes for the other. As I'm a sub, and am paying to play any time all the time every month, I don't believe I should have to sit and test my five other characters. A problem for any ONE character is a problem for all.

Server: Jedi Covenant

Wait Time: 15 minutes

Mood: Ticked Off

Customer Support, please respond with a fix or patch asap.

Update from my last post: So it partially worked. I was fine on fleet until I went back to Balmorra with the same character, then the same problem started up again. I used the other computer to move around on Balmorra, but I am still having the same log in issue.

To further test this, I moved another character that I knew was working to Balmorra and the same issue happened for that character. It may not be the character, but they planet that's causing the trouble. For those paying attention to the thread, what planet/location is the character that is having issues on? Are there any other characters on the same planet that are having problems?
