Group with friend, not strangers then. Grouping with strangers in MMOs is always a crap shoot. Sorry.. but that's just the way it is. And Vote_Kick is there for a reason and it works on a majority vote and the target cannot vote if I recall correctly.

If your friends Vote_Kick you.. then you have some quality self-reflection time coming.

PS: when you group with strangers... and then do something they do not agree to (no matter how noble or benign) they have a right to Vote_Kick you. That's a good reason to play with friends.. they are more tolerant toward you then a stranger.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

There should be a point beyond which you can no longer Kick someone. As the OP described, they were at the end of the FP, which probably took an hour or more to complete. To kick him because he wants to watch the end scene is LAME and people who cannot understand this are either DENSE (because they cannot understand) or *****HATS (because they would do the same thing themselves). Saying that he should just team with friends is a bit naive. Many of us do not have game friends that we can freely call upon when we want to play a flashpoint. even if you are in a guild, many times other people have already completed it and have no interest in doing it again. it is a serious investment of time which he was robbed of by the JO's who tossed him out of the group for participating in something the dev's intentionally put into the game - the dialogue.

Sorry, bro. You took your complaint to a mostly uncaring, ignorant tribunal. Hat's off to those who did understand his plight. People interested in story (or roleplaying) are becoming rare these days, people who just want the loot are in the vast majority.

451, anyone?

There's nothing wrong with the story. Except that it's the same story. Five times. Then ten times. Then thirty. Then a hundred. If it's someone's first time through, I'm patient. If it's everyone's Nth time through, I'm less patient.

If the group wanted to skip the story and a lone dissenter dissented, guess what happens? The system works as designed is what happens.

I like the ability to kick right at the end, but I can be pretty evil at times. If I've warned a person time and again, I like to kick them right at the end. Especially if they're so worthless we're essentially running without them anyway. It wastes a lot of their time and maybe - just maybe - they'll learn to listen to the warnings and advice next time after feeling that pain.

Usually they don't, but one can always hope they'll awaken and realize that if they're getting chain-kicked from flashpoints the problem lies within themselves and not with the other players.

Me? Or people who:
  • Enter flashpoints as tanks with no tanking build and no tanking gear.
  • Or healers, as above.
  • Or enter as DPS and proceed to chain-pull everything
  • Or enter as DPS and do less damage than the healer does
  • Or roll NEED on everything, especially when nothing ever drops with their class's main stat

Special people deserve to be treated specially.

Thanks you mate! I understand that BW most likely will not answer to me, but I'm glad I found a man who carefully read and understood all of me! Thank you very much!

You think you're better than these people? I assure you, you are highly mistaken. And you're wrong, that I'll skip the next time. I'm sorry, but such rudeness and ignorance can only teach nonnegotiable attention to these subjects. You and your kind do not deserve the attention that support you in this topic. But unfortunately recentky BW go on about such players.

No. I do not think I am better than those people. I know it.

When I tank, I am of the appropriate spec and in gear that's made for tanks. It has stuff like Defense and Shield on it instead of stuff like Power and Crit. I hold aggro on mobs and I know my way through the instances.

When I heal, I am of the appropriate spec and in gear that's made for healers. It has stats on it like Critical and Alacrity instead of Defense. I keep the tank up (as long as he's actually a tank) and have plenty of time and skill to keep the DPS alive unless they're insanely stupid.

I never roll NEED on anything that does not immediately improve my character. Even if the gear is an upgrade, if I'm too low to use it, it's GREED.

So, yeah, I'm much better than those mouthbreathers.
