Seriously? Are you really serious? I BET 8 pvp'ers trying to kill Bestia, Nefra or Corruptor Zero.
Your argument: "when you learn the mechanic, it's easy", no it's not.
"pvp is random all the time", random? Kill the healer, cap the node, stunlock the marauder and mezz the tank, repeat, re-cap node and plant the bomb, repeat the pvp mechanic.

Took me 3 days to be FULL Conqueror min/max, all 14 slots. Conqueror is the 2nd tier, the 2nd tier of PVE is VERY hard to get. How many time I have to spend raiding and raiding to be in full 72 min/max all 14 slots? Months.

"but pve players can buy gear using comms", yes, NO BIS and NO set bonus gear. No mods/enhancements BIS selling apart.

EDIT: PVE Lockouts, should I say something?
pvp'ers argument: this is why you have zillions of raids to do.
Ok, top tier is only on DF and DP, also you'll roll with other 7 people that token. AND you have to min/max it, so you need a lot of tokens to be full 78 min/max.

Yeah I've witnessed a group of PVP'ers attempt it, they stopped on Dashroode.

Must be nice, most PVE player have to settle for 69 level, Arkanian gear for a set bonus because anything better is practically impossible..

Two different systems, folks. Two different sets of rules.

It really is as simple as that. PvP gear does not work well in a PvE environment, while PvE gear + Bolster works...a little, but really not that much.

PvE comm caps exist solely to prevent content from being steamrollered. It is the same old hamster wheel anyone who has played an MMO is familiar with.

PvP comm caps don't exist because there is no reason to restrict the gear acquisition race. Content doesn't get steamrollered by PvP players having top gear because the gear race doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things, PvP-wise.

Being able to trade comms matters in PvE because it would allow players to steamroller old content to get new content gear, whereas in order to be competitive in ranked PvP, you have to start out in unranked and trading up comms allows you to compete at a higher level instead of just getting jackhammered every day for a month in order to become competitive. It also doesn't trivialize new PvP the way PvE comm trading would.

Again, two different systems require two different sets of rules and you simply can't compare the two. PvE'ers will run their hamster wheel, PvP'ers will run their hamster wheel and those of us who do both will try to keep up.

what a strange thread and topic.. you cannot compare pve and pvp game-play.. and why does it matter that pvp-gear is faster to obtain from a pve point of view?

if I could decide I'd like there to be one comm to rule em all- let me do high-end pve with pvp gear.. but nope.. that's for you hardcore pve-tier-grinders.. -only-

So , Let me get this right. There is no gear race in pvp, but pvpers need to gear up faster bc no one likes to get "jack hammered" for a month while gearing up. Pvpers don't "steamroll" content but once geared they steamroll each other.
There is a Gear race in pvp , but you never hear about it bc there are no limitations. No one can stop you from getting gear in pvp. If you are having a bad match, think you are gonna loose, or if some one out geared you and is jack hammering your face, Quit. Start another que immediately and get a better team, a better score , or play with less geared player all to get more coms. There is nothing stopping you.

Really? PVE GEAR> PVP GEAR?? Then why are the pvp and pve SA relics proc weights the same? Why are the PVP/ PVE tanking relics the same, Both the shield and def auto proc.

The Gear has come alot closer than you may think. and yet you can get this equivalent gear in days where in pve it take months.

Also , by you statement you sedgiest that PVE players enjoy grinding there face " jack hammered" for months to Gear out.?
Just bc you out gear the content does not mean you can cleat it . I know Most guilds cant clear NIM EC.

I know more that are still having a hard time and not full cleared HM SV / TFB / TC.

Gear is not everything, I enjoy raiding. But when you are penalized once you have " capped" Sucks.

The faster way to run people off id to artificially cap there progression. You can see the reaction that the PVPERS are having to this. Dont cap pvp or there wont be a reason to play . Well what are they doing to PVE? If i want to grind comms , Let me . If im capped then pvpers need to be capped as well.

You know why? Because if pvp gear were the same level as PVE, raids wouldn't be worth it to gear up. Proving one more time that you can be full top tier PVP way way faster than PVE. This is why they make pvp gear with less stats.

A check/enforcement on progression, just another time sink of many. Unlike some others, this one makes obvious sense from a TOR player perspective: So new ops don't become old ops too quickly for dev comfort; requring more frequent deployment of new ops, gear tiers, level cap raises, etc.

But truly what does your gripe about PVE comm caps have to do with PVP comms? Nada, other than sour grapes for no legit reason.
