Alot of people on these forums need to learn the difference between feedback and whining.
And the difference between blind fanboyism and common sense.

yeah SE is being notorious for tossing out 10 days ban over anything,so i expect to be ban later today

but yeah the FFXiV forums mood is about the same as swtor...which surprised me as i was told swtor forums is the more toxic mmo forums on the internet.

I think the problem is more about rushing stuff. People wouldn't be complaining so much if there weren't all those bugs in the first place.

And/or ignoring bug reports while the stuff is actually on test server. "Lets just ignore those reports and push this live anyway".

When there is factual evidence of them ignoring feedback it gets kinda easy to hate on Bioware.

As as been pointed out many times in many threads.....bugs may be difficult to isolate/fix before scheduled live patch date..... SO.. a review and decision is made to go live with the bug, or delay the patch. This is Project Management 101 for ALL software development for consumer products. And we have seen clear cases where Bioware has at times gone live with known bugs (hence the known bugs list) AND at times has delayed a patch too.

Unless a bug is game breaking (in an objective sense, not a hyperbolic toddler style meltdown sense) you probably do not hold a patch... especially if the devs say it's not properly isolated yet and cannot commit on a fix date.

Oh... yeah.... let's hold a major patch until it's bug free of reported PTS bugs... even if the bugs are annoying yet minor...yeah.. that would go over well with most players... definitely. The players won't care if the patch is 12 weeks out instead of 6 or 8 weeks.

I found the WoW forums to be most toxic. SWG forums could be pretty bad at times as well. SWTOR forums are not that bad...certainly better than they were at launch IMO.

yeah lets push a patch live and leave it unfixed for months like when the game launched.... fixing those must be pretty hard..

Whats the point of feedback if its ignored for one reason or another?

The point of feedback is it allows folks to present ideas and suggestions. And that is it's only point, and it's only reason to exist.

That feedback does not have to be heeded, IMO, to make the feedback worthwhile....though ignoring some types of feedback is not wise (like the type of feedback from the majority casual playerbase in Beta that was ignored for one reason or another at the game's peril IMO).

If they listen, or do not listen, feedback must still be provided. If the feedback has merit, and if this game is any example, it can not be ignored forever.
