That's why name-and-shame (or whatever trendier or more pedantic term CosmicKat prefers) is a bad idea.
That's not exactly the same thing, people call each other crappy all the time. The real call-out or name-and-shame issue is usually looting. Being "bad" at the game is really nebulous and never worth the moderator's time.

To go against everything I've said this post, I logged on today to find someone in Belsavis walking people through a heroic quest. He was informative, kind and respectful.

Maybe the community isn't so bad after all. I do find that the higher level planets people seem to be more helpful and quiet, for the most part. If only it could trickle down into the lower planets and main city.

So, let's blame the game for bad communities? And if you think this is bad, you should see WoW nowadays. Hell, you should see any MMO-- they all have the same issues. You can't regulate people over the Internet.

If you play late at night, the community is far better. When the kiddies are on is when things go to hell.

Blaming the players for the game's issues has been Booster Excuse #1 since launch. Call it revenge!

If anyone has read my other posts in this string, you'll see I've said a bunch of times that SWTOR isn't anywhere near WoW. But it's getting there, and it's sad. I agree that once about 3pm hits, the community goes downhill fast. I'm not blaming the game, but F2P definitely didn't help matters.

I am pretty sure I just watched two people argue about the government shutdown in general chat. SWTOR is not where I go for my political news.
