I have a 5 year old computer With a new GT520 Graphics card running the graphics setting on high with no issues except on fleet and thats only minor lag. I have just Upgraded it by putting 4 more gig of RAM on the Motherboard and changing it from Windows XP to Windows 8. I honestly don't have any issues playing SWTOR. I did on the other hand have lag along with rubberbanding in WOW while just doing the trial account for thee Panderia.

You need to step back a second. I apologized to him a post up or two. Time to let it go and move on.

This is what makes the issue so odd to me. I'm glad you are running the game decently on that. Not sure what makes it so bad for others though.

If you go back a few pages somebody brought up the performance issues of this game vs wow. I was saying this game does have below average performance and started a discussion from that. I never compared it to WoW's though.

ok the guy brought it up but your response is only a link that shows swtors issues if you are rly neutral you would have linked both issues with both games since this topic is about the 2 games

OP in a "engine optimised for a decade runs better than one in alpha 1.5 years ago" shocker.

True, but I never brought up WoW so I guess it never came to mind to me. I wanted to discuss the issues with SWTOR because I don't care about WoW. But I guess that's a fair case that I should make some comparison. HOWEVER, WoW is 10 years old and comparing a 10 year old games performance to a brand new one would be silly to me. I believe you can agree on that.

I could compare it to GW2 or something but meh.

I don't think wow has anything to do with this, but I agree with "swtor runs like crap" part.

Because people that boast about great performance and "over 9000" fps don't take into account important stuff like cruising through 100+ people on the fleet, 16man Ops, Warzones, and any type of activity that involves more than 16 players on the screen actively playing. It's getting really tiresome hearing about this awesome performance when soloing 3 mobs on empty Tython, but hey, at this point I really don't care anymore
The prodigal son has returned ... some people are stuck with SWTOR, for better or worse.

Which was not there at the time when I hit reply and started typing up my post. And which has absolutely no bearing on why what I said was said.
