But why should they bother? BWEA is a for-profit company. They're not gonna do something just because. There simply aren't enough players who care about this to make it worth their while financially.

I don't take it as such. Also, I was not trying to create an argument. My statement was merely a refute to the 600K+ unique users. That assessment was incorrect. There were that many page hits, but no clarification about the visits being all different people. Aelrail made the assumption it was 600k+ unique players and was using that as the foundation of the guilt trip for BW to take over the page. I'm all for encouraging BW to add new and useful tools to the game, but when it is done with fluff information, the request loses all credibility and ruins it for others who would gladly provide solid data to make a strong case for the tool's implementation.

Agreed. I think SWTOR would greatly benefit from 3rd party devs like those who supply Curse with WoW addons. There are a variety of items which vastly improve game play for gamers of all kinds, and would likely breathe a little more life into the game. If we could convince BWEA to allow Addons like that, I think the game itself could turn in a positive direction.

And if one doesn't the game goes back to dying. I feel good about this

Even assuming the game is dying, a min-maxing tool is not going to save it.

But in any event, the game is not dying. Although for some reason, it seems to please some to continually claim that it is.

My point was more to the fact that there being no real theory crafting sites left that are any good and now the min maxing tools are drying up there no reason for real raiders to even bother with this game.

If I am wrong about that number and its representation, then I will gladly retract my remark about 5M swtor accounts.
SNAP, I;'m number 3699, I guess that's pretty good for a day one forum signup in 2008. Then again, that was before there were actual sales, so that forum number may not translate to sales, since some people disliked beta so much they never bought in.

If you like min-maxing, go ahead. Most people don't care. If you care so much, why don't you do take over torparse?

Not sure what a "real" raider is. Not even sure if it matters. Definitely sure their disappearance from the game is irrelevant.

I appear to be a bit before 1.9 million, and i'm pretty sure i signed up before release. i was in the open beta, so i would have had to sign up on the forums for that right?

3,699 is a pretty elite number.

I'm curious why people think it's so important to their gaming, like they simply can't just enjoy playing the game without min-maxing to the hilt.
