Yes, when they are making a variety of useless items that take away from things that need their attention, I will complain. I pay for this game, I have paid since beta, so I think that gives me a right to call it as I see it. And please get off the SCAM bus, I already said it was NOT a scam, but it got people to take a look at the issue did'ent it? Like I said, I did what I set out to do, shine a big light on a steaming pile of crap known as the portable chair and its 10 seconds of uselessness. I don't think there's a point to this thread other than, as the OP said himself, to get the attention he was seeking.

Complaining about other additions to the game, or rather, refusing to accept you were wrong to assume it would be what you wanted and then trying to make it look like a conscious effort to get BW's attention is wrong. It doesn't help you or the RPers as much as you think.But, whatever floats your boat.

Perhaps I should point out that, every Developer who ever spoke up for RP, ever fought for RP, or gave a damn about RP, got laid off before F2P.

They're quite happy to leave the RP crowd in obscurity, we're a minority in this game, I would dare say that 1 in every 50 players is a Roleplayer. So yes, they don't notice us, they don't cater to us. I very much doubt if any RP issues even get discussed at their staff meetings.

When was the last time an RP feature got put into the game? And I don't mean Cartel Market junk designed to milk the players for money.

When was the last time a core game mechanic was implemented which caters to the RP players? Someone please just name one if you can.

don't call something a "rip-off" because you blindly bought it and it didn't do what YOU wanted it to do....and was NEVER PROMISED to do anything of the sort.

problem is with you..not Bio (or the chair) on this one.

that's where you should have started, along with suggestions for possible improvements that are actually feasible to implement. I actually understand why chairs are not. because they would have to

1. redesign all the chairs/benches/etc they have in game to be clickable/sittable.
2. replace existing static models with interactive ones. this is a HUGE undertaking and while it would certainly add more depth to the game (little details tend to do that) its also not cost effective.

that said- its quite possible that it didn't even occur to them to create a portable chair that acts like role playing prop. they just made another toy that just happens to look like something roleplayers might find use for.

so how about... oh I don't know - making suggestions for the future reference? there's another post that I saw that suggested to make these channeled regeneration items last until canceled instead of limited time. now THAT's constructive.

if you want specific features - you have to suggest them, explain how would they work, why would they be awesome, etc. make a proposal instead of a baseless accusation of "SCAM!"

speaking of Barbeque grills, one of the rp events I attended - they just used datacron as one. because pretending and utilizing environment in unexpected ways, is part of the fun

I'm not sure what thread you're reading because all I saw was a PSA saying, "Don't get excited that this item is a sittable chair RP people, because it isn't. Don't waste your money"

This wasn't event something I was looking forward to, or really would appreciate even if it worked right. But I can certainly understand why people who want a sittable chair would be let down by this.

What I can't understand is how BW couldn't see a problem with the effect duration for this item before they added it. They're game devs....they're smarter than this....COME ON.

Absolutely incredible. Nine pages about a fake chair in an imaginary game that does not "work like a real chair." Nine bloody pages because some fake bunch of pixels didn't meet someone's expectations of what those pixels ought to look like.
