ETA on Advanced Class change?

I firmly believe that they should have a poll that commits people purchasing a consumable that allows swapping an AC and people will decide how many they want to purchase. Then implement this feature, and require those that committed to it to pay for the actual implementation. Any additional people purchasing this single use item or people purchasing said item beyond what they committed to would go to BW as profit.

Do this and I will stand endorse it 100% but will choose not to purchase.

What is "very steep" to you? 1000 CC? 1500 CC? I feel it needs to be expensive enough that Bioware could profit from it, but low enough that players would be able to do it if they chose to. 1000 CC seems reasonable to me...what is reasonable to you?

This is just a convoluted restatement of "I don't think it's worth the dev resources," which is a fair position.

I've got a bunch of sentinels and a couple guardians and since the Gree event they were sharing the exact same set of pvp armor and primary weapon for awhile. But the JK/Warrior is the only class that has a different armor amongst the specs. That is such a non-issue, especially considering the cost/time/effort involved with "whipping up" an alt to a similar levels/valor/etc..

And for the record, even though I have seven of eight ACs at 50+ and many sent/mara/guardians at 50+ as well (most players are lazy good-for-nothing slobs compared to me at this game), I still wish I could occasionally swap the AC on one of my main characters. Just to mix things up - it would be fun.

Ten thousand of course is very steep. At the very least it needs to start around five thousand. The standard monthly stipend the games doles out is what? Five hundred coins a month, something like that. So now if we go off the one thousand coin approach that would be two months of subscription time to change your Class. Which is fair. And if we go off the ten thousand approach, well, do the math... A very long time.

The problem is once you open that door at one thousand, EA is now on a very slippery slope. Which ultimately will lead to a "flip of the switch" option, via Legacy or somewhere else. Eliminating one of their initial goals, experiencing various classes. That's a whole different debate though.

The financial angle is something EA would have to work out. How much do we charge to try to make a profit from this option, versus, how much is too much.

To answer your question though, five thousand at the very least.

It needs to be priced at a sensible level, one where people would consider using it. 10,000 coins in the UK works out at about £50... I can't honestly see any one going for that on a one shot basis, to be honest not even for a switch that allowed you to flick back and forth.
I've always quoted around 1,000 to 1,500 for a practical compromise that already matches the prices they have put forward for services such as name changes and server transfers.

This line couldn't make less sense. If levelling is far too easy then why should you be offended if someone wants to avoid repeating that class content they have already played through. The ease of levelling is a prime reason for allowing an AC swap.

The ol' slippery slope argument. Quaint. And no more compelling from you than from Ratajack the first 300 times he used it.
