It has nothing necessarily to do with wanting to change AC. I doubt I would do it. It has to do with giving people the option.

And the designers' original intents are not carved in neutronium (the Star Trek kind).

I'm going to be perfectly honest here, but I don't really have any intention of changing my AC. I just see the benefit of allowing it. I might try out the Vanguard side of things if it were allowed, but I have a Powertech and I've already experienced leveling even if I don't use it for FP or OP's.

I simply believe that the option to change AC is a good one and refute that the different AC's are totally separate classes because they share more similarities than differences. I see that allowing AC change won't cause any harm whatsoever to anyone at any point, while not allowing AC change might put some people off from continuing to play the game because they don't like the thought of leveling 8 characters to try out every AC and story line.

It's that simple. I see the choice to be beneficial, even if not directly to me.
"50 Grades of Shae", a heart-warming novel about a Mandalorian that delivers beat-downs and assigns grades to her victims.

Others who have been against it stated that they would even use it if it were put in, its beneficial towards everyone even if you don't like it.

Allowing you to change doesn't necessarily mean that they don't view them as classes.
James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

Allowing class changes WILL cost BW subscribers. People WILL stop playing this gmae if they allow class changes. You can say "good riddance" to them, but make no mistake, there will be people who leave if class changes become a reality.

You can call them "the hardcore elite", but if they leave and all you are left with is casuals who only want to buy what they want on the CM, what do you really have?

But its not class changes, its advance class changes.

Since you can predict the future so infallibly, why aren't you out there solving crimes and making millions at the race track?

It is a CLASS change. You continue to ignore the devs own statements. You continue to ignore the fact that if you check your guild roster, you will NOT see "trooper-vanguard" or "trooper-commando". You WILL see troopers (most below level 10), vanguards and commandos.

a better game?

i mean seriously, all the QQ comes from the l33t/hardcore players that complain if anything in game is changed and act like bioware should reward them because they been on this game for a long period of time.your time is over man, you guys had you draconian gameplay design pre 2.0 and it failed hard. 2.0 and forward should make this game more casual.

so if a FEW dudes want QQ over Ac change, then BYE and GOOD RIDDANCE.

But, you know. AC change really would be a slap in the face to all hard-working gamers.
