1.) EvE Online
2.) World of Warcraft

I can't list anything else. I can't put SWTOR on there, because this game is a joke. I literally play just to be with a few friends, not because this game captivates me in some way.

Have only played 3 so, in order of length of time played:

1. Guild Wars - 4 years

2. DDO - 2 years

3. SWToR - since launch, ~1 1/2 years

GW, finally got bored after 4 years.

DDO, was still having fun and was 2nd officer in a great guild but **SWToR DEVS MIGHT WANT TO TAKE NOTE** the devs pissed me off by going into my inventory (during one update) and changing the appearance of an item I had suffered thru some content I really hated to get. This was right before a new MMO (SWToR) launched that I was happy to jump ship for.

Pretty happy overall with SWToR and not saying that as a threat but just to point out that paying customers do leave if you piss them off.
It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Never played Aion personally but calling any of that generic Anime crap "fantasy" is a crime against humanity.

1) City of Heroes. No MMO has been able to beat the fun I had in that game. Customization that puts TOR to shame, and TOR is only a year old, when CoH was 8 years old at the time it was cancelled. The devs where also great.

2) TERA. Love the combat, aesthetics, pretty much everything about the game except lack of customization (on par with TOR) and its just to soloable, but I have the same gripe about TOR. Both TOR and TERA could learn from CoH's sidekick system, so it's worthwhile for high and low levels to team up and still get xp/mission xp.

3) TOR. Combat isn't as fun as TERA, buuut, I do enjoy all the different stories. Customization is lousy and they look to be just trying to nickle and dime players more and more, instead of adding in content to give a more enjoyable experience to the game (which if armor dye was free to all, would be OMG, more enjoyable to all).

4) and 5) I'm at a loss on. I've played many other MMOs, or at least checked them out. I'm hoping Aion will be fun when patch 4.0 goes out. Haven't given it a real go yet, as I'm waiting on it. FFXI my first MMO, just wasn't fun for me, but the community when I played seemed to be more "I dont speak english sorry" and it was (at the time anyways) very group oriented.
"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more...than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so *********** what." - Stephen Fry

5: The Secret World
4: Neverwinter
3: World of Warcraft
2: EverQuest II
1: The Old Republic

Honorable Mention goes to Asheron's Call, because I enjoyed the story as it developed, and I enjoyed the mostly open-ended character development. I decided to keep my list to only current MMOs. Yes, I know AC is currently running, but it's not a game I'd go back to, for fear of killing my memories with the truth. I guess AC is to me what Pre-CU SWG is for other people. I'm afraid that the game itself isn't as good now as it was back in '99.

WoW is another game I wouldn't go back to. I played the hell out of it for years, but at the end I was so burned out that I was logging in only to chat with friends rather than play the game.

Been talking with my guildies <we all came here after 4 years of WoW>. Right now it stands this way when we finally get tired of SWTOR...

1. Elder Scrolls <but only after it has been out for at least 6 months and they fix the expected massive bugs>
2. Secret World <expect to run out of things to do in under a year>
3. GW2
4. Star Trek <just for laughs to see how a bad MMO operates>
5. LotRO
