Though i dont agree they are the worst their are several other comapnies that are border line Satan whorshipers EA is still pretty slimmy.
EA was voted worst company again because there are a lot of detached, irrational and socially-inept shut-ins who acted out in nerd rage. No rationally-thinking person would have looked at all the wrongs in this country done by corporations and consider EA to be the worst offender.

EA won because they are to blame for a lot of bad computer/internet things at the times of the voting. Last year, it was the ME3 terrible ending fiasco. This year it was SimCity launch fiasco. And people who vote on that poll are internet, gaming people.

You can't dump it on the voters and say EA had nothing to do with it.

What is the point of this thread? If you don't think your $15 a month is worth it, then quit subbing. Problem solved. There's already plenty of threads to post this type of comment in without further cluttering up the forums with duplicate threads. Nothing said in the OP constituted a single new comment or thought on the subject and it certainly wasn't worthy of it's own thread. Perhaps the point was just attention or validation. The forum community isn't here to validate how you spend your money though.

However, I will say this....they recently reported that the monthly revenue of the game has doubled since F2P. That isn't due to any sudden spike in subs. That is due to all of the money being spent in the Cartel Market. So the monthly sub fees aren't the only money being paid into this game....not by a long shot.

Yes I can. EA was not a write-in vote. They were stacked up against other companies who have done MUCH more wrong than put out a buggy video game. To vote for a company who put out a buggy video game over financial institutions that have actually hurt this country in a very big way means that the people who voted in that poll are in-fact detached, irrational and socially-inept shut-ins who acted out in nerd rage.

Nobody is saying that EA is not deserving of a bad rep. Just that the voters in that poll are indeed (and I will say it again) detached, irrational and socially-inept shut-ins who acted out in nerd rage.

EA had nothing to do with it. They didn't make the voters stupid.

Looking at the subscriber base this way is incorrect. $40 spent on an expansion pack should be based outside of the recurring subscription. WoW and FFXI are very good examples of how this is true.

WoW is $15/month (Month-2-Month) + $40 for a New expansion = $70
FFXI is $15/month (Month-2-Month with additional slots for 3 Characters) + $30 for a New expansion = $60

If you're basing it off the 2 months of service plus expansion, SWTOR is still a steal. Keep in mind that WoW only gave their subscribers 5 additional levels for a $40-$50 expansion pack when brand new and waiting a couple years. FFXI held their cap at 75 for 2 out of the 3 expansions before lifting their cap to 99 also charging roughly $30-$40.

SWTOR not only lifted the cap in a year of service, but also gave expanded content.

Like others have stated, if you feel your $15 isn't being well used - don't pay. Preferred Status isn't horrible, but it isn't as beneficial as Subscriber Status. I like not worrying about a delay in chat, queuing for PvP whenever I feel like it, wearing purple armor as I see fit, running Operations often on all my alternate characters, and having a ton of character slots to just get a full experience of the game.

Now if only I felt more of my $15 was going to fixing bugs and existing issues .............

Who cares if you think the thread is pointless? If you think it is not a valid thread, just don't write. Problem solved. There are plenty of other threads you can write how happy you are with the game

Isn't that the truth. I agree with what you say here.

You know it amazes me that people still think that the Subscription Allotment of Coins are actually enough.
The Price of things in the Cartel Market are set High on purpose. Overpriced if you ask me. Not just for Subscribers but also F2P Players. If you look at all the good things they are set above what our Allotment is and compare that to the Price of the Cartel Coins. It is a lot. Since they are set so high, this means we would have to save up a few months just to get one thing. The only reason I can see them giving us such a low amount of coins and having the prices so high, is so we would have to spend more money buying more Coins.

So it kind of gets me when people say, you have an Allotment or Grant of Coins that you can use. That you get things for Free. That is a Cop Out. Those Coins are nothing more than an Enticement used to try justify us into supporting the Cartel Market. Basically BioWare gave us those coins in order to try and lessen the complaining about the Cartel Market and to Entice us into using the Cartel Market. Which means they are hoping that we spend more money on getting more Coins because what they gave us is not enough for to make it worth while. The good stuff is just out of reach, sort of speak. To me that is BioWare trying to Sucker us into spending money. All they want is more sales in the Cartel Market. That is why they are placing most if not all the New Features on the Cartel Market. They want to Nickel & Dime us.

Somewhere in this thread I even read that someone said that our Allotment it is enough for the Cathar Species. Yeah it may be if you get 600 or more. If you get the minimum 500 you will have to wait a month if you had already spent your Allotment. But beside the point of how much you get and how much it cost, or if someone just saves up all there Allotment Coins; having access to new species added to the game should be something that a subscriber should get automatically without having to pay more money. Even if they get a free allotment of coins to use on the Cartel Market.

Personally my opinion is that there are just certain features that should not be on the Cartel Market. That Subscribers should get Full Access to certain features without having to Pay Extra. Full Access to all Species (New & Old) is one of those Features. We should not have to pay Extra to select a certain species for a new character. That should be included in our Subscription Fee.

That is how I feel about this subject.
