What is the point of my $15 a month?

And i dont mean grinding for them, because you can still do that (just grind cash instead of grinding for random drops).

It seems to me that you think that we, the subscribers, should get all the stuff that comes out in the cartel market each month, for free.
Just because we are subscribers.

sounds kinda entitled.

we do get 500-600 CC's worth of free stuff each month... we just have to pick what to spend it on ourselves.
Personally, I think that yes, subscribers should at least get reasonable access to all chargeable content via in game means.

The "bonus CC" subscribers pay for is only a reasonable alternative if the amount of bonus coins allows a subscriber to pick and choose from what they want in an equitable manner. That would mean my bonus coins should allow me to buy a significant percentage of that content for free and not just give me a minor discount, that is factored into the cost of the items already.

Getting 500 CC's does not mean you are getting 500 CC's worth of free stuff, it means the prices of what you can spend those points on has been raised by 500 CC to make you feel like you are getting a deal when you are not.

It does feel like the Subscriber model is being slowly pushed to the wayside. When they do drop it, and I suspect they eventually will, I will stop playing. I simply cannot justify using real money to buy fake money. It is far easier to accept the idea of a monthly sub, IMO.

For CC's and in game curreny, you can have everything a Sub has for equal to or less than $15. And F2P players have never even had to pay for the game. When I consider that I bought the CE for $150, did I get my money's worth? Well, I got a cool Malgus statue so I guess that will have to do.

And the monthly stipend Subs are given has already become obsolete. All of the things Subs already get are the affordable stuff in the CM.

I'm kinda pissed that the lvl 12 Char I was preparing to change into a Cathar is now going to cost me 800CC's. So, realistically, it's just going to make more sense to re-roll the character and start over.

....and I'm sick of Tython.

That argument is terrible if you wanna defend the 500 CC thing.

Following that, none of the subscribers should spend any CC in 2.1.

Why who knows....2.3 might bring some new outstanding CC stuff and if we spend our CCz now, we wont save enough for that stuff but wait....maybe 2.8 is another outstanding CC patch and will need a lot of CC as well and what about patch 3.5?.

What we do? save or not save?. 500-600 CCs per month when a single armor costs 1200-1400 CCs. Just a single one.

Dont make me laugh, pls. We are not idiots. 500 per month is absolutely crap with that pricez.

No credit cap
Hide headslot / unify colours
6 quick bars
Unlimited warzones
Unlimited flashpoint rolls
Unlimited space missions
Artefact equipment
Event Equipment
Access to Operations
Access to things like Section X
Faster levelling & rested XP
Discounted expansions (assuming they continue that theme)
No restrictions on chat

... thats all i can think of right now. As someone who doesnt always have a lot of time to play this game, I often unsub for a while. Its fine for just ocasional playing but when I actually want to really play the game properly I alway resub. It makes a massive difference especially if your an alt-aholic like me. So yeh, personally i do think its worth £9 (or $15) a month, I mean thats like the price of a cinema ticket or two pints and a packet of crisps.....
just pointing out. Most of the above can be accomplished just fine without being subbed... if you farm correctly you can enjoy the same luxuries as a sub.... with little limitation..... so I don't see the benefit here. These new features shouldn't cost Cartel Coins for the Subscribers.... it should be encouragement to be a subscriber and a cost for free to play.... simple btw *** expansion doesn't come out with a new race to play? this again should have been part of the $10 expansion.... and just because you get free 500 cartel cions that take 2 months of waiting to get the cathar at 600.... so then you have to put out there that your still paying for those "free cartel coins". This is just adding to the point that someone can be free to play and farm there way into not being a sub....

And you do. You can buy everything from the CM for in-game credits on the GTN.

You are paying to not do all that farming. I am new (about a month) so I don't know what things were like way back when. But to me, a 20 minute quick travel cool down and unlimited on the spot revives are worth the $15.00 a month. Not to mention everything else that has already been mentioned. The way I see it, it will take me about 3 more months to get to end game and really get bored of it. Thats $60.00 altogether, about what a new pc game costs, and it is a really good game. No I don't plan on buying the expansion that just came out unless something REALLY good comes out after for 55-60 and I need expansion a to level to expansion b. Content, content, content. Have to be willing to pay for more, imo.

How would you get to endgame without the expac for endgame content? you get to do dailies and some old stuff....a few of which bumped up to 55 so you can't do it then.

Personally, if you dont agree with paying for something or feel cheated in some way, Don't pay for it. Video games are a luxury item and you should never feel compelled to pay for something you do not want or feel is worth its value. For me, I sub because I get what I want out of it, but I feel that my value is made. (doesn't hurt that in my point of view the game is less than 10 bucks a month after the cartel coins from both the sub and security key, so paying 90's mmo prices in 2013 isn't so bad)

Then why do you subscribe?

In the "onus" case, the person (was it you?) was very much mistaken about me not using "onus" correctly. I was using it to mean "burden," which is a synonym of "onus." In the case of "need," that other poster kept saying he needs things from a computer game. No one needs anything from a computer game. We want things from a computer game.

See how silly your retort looks now? It goes to 11.

Ok, endgame content up to lvl 50. I haven't heard anything stunning about the expansion, and though I'd have to do a little more research, I have heard that it lacks class story-lines which to me, is mostly what the game has been about. That feels to me less like "Episode 2" and more like a very long side bar of episode 1.
