Except... I neither told you to be quiet or leave.

While I understand that most things that get posted on forums such as this are opinions you really made it seem like other games had undeniably better systems and not simply systems that fit your gaming and personal finances better. So you may want to clarify that you may personally prefer other systems but they are neither better or worse than what SWTOR offers, simply different with each having advantages and disadvantages. For people who don't want to spend any money beyond their sub then SWTOR offers them the best option because aside from the stipend you get every month you can also buy most items from the GTN with credits.

I very much agree with this statement.

In some ways, to me SWTOR has redefined the way microtransactions are presented to the player base. Giving more flexibility and convenience to players to access microtransaction content the way the player wishes to... rather then be forced to follow a narrow path of bind on aquire micro-trax content.

I understand that some players dislike microtransctions in MMOs.. but they are here to stay.. so to me the analysis and discussion centers around degrees of freedom for players. The fact that they are not putting items into the CCM that are needed for subscribers to actualy play the game, are not bind on aquire, and coupled with the fact that almost all content is accessible from other players via trade/sell... shows a new level of consideration for players by the MMO developer IMO.

Would it be nirvana if everything in an MMO was free and microtransactions did not exist? perhaps... free is always good... but from a pragmatic standpoint... that level of free represents and end of MMOs in the market.. so that nirvana is a non-starter.

Those are two logical choices for adults to work with when confronted with something they don't like and have no actual control over.

Complaining about it in a gaming forum does nothing except perhaps give you a 30 second slot in the internet forum fame game.

Reading comprehension, please.

Cope: to find a way to deal with what is beyond your control, before it drives you crazy. Method is up to the individual.

Play the competition: if this games approach is not acceptable to you.. play what works for you. In other words.. choose what works for you.

Adult level suggestions for how to deal with something frustrating, which is beyond your control to actually change directly.

TL;DR: be pragmatic, for your own benefit.

There is a definite difference between saying "be quiet or leave" and "learn to cope or play the competition". One is a demand, the other is a suggestion.

DC Universe Online does. In fact, you compare the restriction to this (SWTOR), to that (DCUO), the restrictions are comparable. There are variances between the two, but very comparable. The biggest flaw, in my opinion, is the cost of things on the Cartel Market. I won't stop spending my money on things on there, much to the shagrin of those hate the CM. For me, it's about improvement. Doing it better. If my tendency for perfection is clouding my judgement, perception, and thinking, and I am way off, my apologies.

Rude, no.

A little snarky... not really.... perhaps a bit tutorial though.

A shame though that it was needed in order to attempt to bring clarity out of misunderstanding.
