" There is no good reasons why subscribers have to pay cartel coins in 2.1. "

There is no good reason to say someone's forcing you also.

That fact kind of makes a difference don't you think??
No I dont think it makes any difference. Features should not cost a subscriber extra. If they want to go that route then they should be B2P, like GW2 is, not F2P.

It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

You get 500-600 free CC each month. These are considered in the pricing of everything on the cartel market. Its really easy to have full access to all customization for no extra cost at all as long as you dont squander your free CC on frivolous things like cartel packs.
I do believe that you have done that tho and now you want to both have the cake and eat it.

There is NO added costs as long as you use the free coins you get each month, so your point is moot.

Let's not bother with this crap. You can name 10 MMOs that do things differently, and I can name 10 more that are even more different.

Hell -- I played a freemium MMO the other day that let's you pay $10 to make your female character naked! Mind you, there are ONLY female NPCs and Chars in the game. No men.

It does make a difference what model they're using. Blizzard doesn't need to worry about finances -- the sub-only model works when you have 8+ million people paying $15/mo. They can afford a massive dev team working constantly to put out "Free" content. Although, even they put out expacs.

SWTOR doesn't use the WoW model. Not a single successful MMO outside of WoW uses the WoW model. . . because it is no longer viable.

We either learn to adapt, or stop playing. They aren't going to make poor business decisions because we are crying about it. I'd LOVE to go back to the days of a one-time fee that covers everything. Guess what? That won't ever happen again. Reality is, WoW is your only chance of getting a game like that again.

How did you construe what I feel is unfair to subs as a demand to hand it to F2P?

This is exactly my point.

Pretty much this on that particular debate.

Being a subscriber, paying that stable monthly payment to bioware doesn't make you the valued customer it used to.

Nonsense. Many games thrived for many years under a subscription only model.

If the customers think the product is worth the price, they will pay for it. If they don't, they won't. It really is that simple.

Bingo.

Over two million people shelled out a chunck of money to buy swtor with the understanding that it was a sub based game. Yet not many months later the vast majority decided that the game was not worth playing or paying for.

The business model is not the game, it is how you pay to play the game. A top notch game with wide spread appeal would succeed under any model. To me p2p is just a way of indirectly getting revenue from a game that not enough people feel is worth paying for. It is just easier in the short run to nickle and dime people than to get them to pay for a product.
