This game is 95% copy of WOW, the Devs dont even bother to think about new type of content cause they can just copy and paste the in game futures from WOW then they give them new names and off you go

the seeker Droid and the macrobinoculars exist in WOW but in different names, the same thing goes for the Achievement system which they didnt even bother doing any change to but instead you done trillion Achievement for Titles(and 600cc may be ).

they said in the Start that Fighting one boss with many players in an Instance is not "Heroic" YET they have done the same thing cause thinking is to much while you have ready modull like WOW...

I've said it 1000 times and ill say it again...

Companies are "fleecing" gamers because gamers are stupid and never stick their money where their mouth is. I would do the exact same thing if I was bioware/EA. They get away with chopping up content and charging fees because PEOPLE BUY IT ANYWAY.

The only people we have to blame is ourselves. If gamers weren't impulsive and short-sighted the market would have never shifted to a "buy as you consume" model.

But we are. We bought all of it. Bioware is only following the market trend. So either accept it, change it, or get over it and stop whining.

Of course they take it into account. They think to themselves.... what can we charge for "X" item to absorb all the monthly alotments and make them want to purchase more.
James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

No one can make someone else want something.

I don't mind it too much, but I originally thought the cartel market would bring about new content not just more cartel items
The CM was, is and always will be the place to sell cosmetic and convenience items. Nothing you absolutely have to have in order to adventure and do quests will ever be sold through the CM.

You argument is void, null, and irrelevant.

Lol how much did the SWTOR box cost when we started playing back then in december 2011 ?
Actually, my argument is not null and void since 95% of the cartel market items CAN be purchased on the GTN that means you don't have to spend you monthly allotment of coins on anything else which should mean that you'll have enough every month to do appearance changes. Let's wait to see what the prices are for subs because we start flipping out.

You second point is invalid, the game costs nothing now, what you spent on it previously is irrelevant.

It is in the case of this topic where we're discussing those remaining 5% that you compared to GW2's barbershop.

We don't have the same definition for "the onset" then...

Actually what they think to themselves is "This is a vanity feature so it goes in the market, this other stuff is PVE/PVP content so it'll be included in a free patch". They have made this clear numerous times, not sure why people aren't understanding that. Actually I take that back, I am sure, it's because people can't remember past 3 weeks ago and all they can remember is spending $10 for an expansion and therefore all content must cost $10 in the future. It's incorrect thinking but I can only assume that some people just have extremely short attention spans.

Sure, if you want to ignore the larger picture.

If that was sarcasm, I missed it.

If it is not sarcasm... can I have some of what you are smoking?

Since the launch of the CM, virtually everything new to the game has been sold through the CM.

They may as well have closed TOR and renamed it at the launch of the CM. The game we bought is gone. It's dead, done, finished. It is now a cash shop with a 50 level trial period. Your subscription will continue to be devalued at every new "content patch". The patterns they have shown would indicate that the subscription option will even be removed at some point.

Name one thing sold in the CM that is required to adventure in the game and do quests.

There's nothing to ignore, this thread is about 2.1 and the fact there's no other way than CC for the kiosk : read the title in case you haven't yet.

You don't want to accept you were mistaken with your not so brilliant comparison with GW2 and you're trying to throw some fog on that.

If this very route was taken then they could charge subbers for CC only for flashpoints, warzones, operations, space missions, taxis, vendors, etc because they're not required to adventure and to quest either.
