Fact: This thread is not about cartel coins.

Fact: Sentences have only one period at the end.

Fact.. If all you can do is critique someone's writing style then you have nothing important to say..

Fact.. This thread is not about how many periods someone puts at the end of a sentence..

Fact.. Just because you start a thread does not give you the authority to dictate rules.. Nor does it give you the right to be a jerk to others..

Fact... I was responding to a post that did mention Cartel Coins.. Did you complain to the other person about how this thread is not about Cartel Coins, or do you just complain to those that disagree with your views????????

Yeah sure, worst company ever for making a bad game ending (ME3), experiment gone wrong (DA2) or charging for non essential graphic fluff is surely worse that neglecting safety that leads to polluting huge part of coast with oil, or doing bank frauds that strip people of their life savings...

Fact: You can use any number of punctuation marks to end a sentence, such as an exclamation mark, question mark, or even an ellipsis.

That said...

WHY GOD?! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY do you end everything in double periods? That is such awful writing. You realize what a period actually is, right? It means 'full stop'. What you are doing is telling us to make a full stop twice in a row which is just wrong. You can use three periods in a row because that is actually an ellipsis. You can even use a long string of periods to indicate a longer pause which is technically wrong but could be viewed as a style choice.

Your writing? No. That is not style, that is a blight on the English language. It is hard to read and just plain awful. You might be fancying yourself some kind of funky, New Age English pro, but you're just a douche intentionally butchering a language because you think it makes you cool.

Pro Tip: Stylistic choices are almost exclusively reserved for poetry and fall under that category of 'poetic license'. Prose, which forum posts are closer to, does not generally have this same freedom.

Now I may not have much to say on the topic at hand, but I do know that, while you are free to write with whatever 'style' choices you want, it is frankly disgusting to look at and I really wish you would stop.

ON TOPIC: It could be argued that customization options are, in fact, quality of life for some people. Roleplayers might want their character to get a haircut, or maybe they want to roleplay that their character is infiltrating the enemy by disguising themselves as a different race or something, I don't know.

It is also entirely possible that this is just the most exciting thing they are adding with the update and all the bug fixes and quality of life stuff hasn't been announced yet.

To answer the why.. I have been doing since my days on mIRC back in the 90's.. I am not writing an essay that is to be published or graded.. I am sorry it irritates people.. I must say that I do get some amusement over the fuss you all make about how many periods are at the end of a sentence..

As for me stopping??? Hmmmm... Most likely isn't going to happen... If it bothers you.. I am sorry.. But you being bothered by it, really is your own issue..

So there is the why....

Sure it can be argued.. But it doesn't change the fact that Bioware has stated repeatedly that the Cartel Market would be used for Vanity items.. Which both the Cathar and the Kiosk fall under.. It also doesn't change the fact that subs get a monthly grant of Cartel coins.. Anything they buy with those coins is free.. They didn't have to purchase those coins from the store.. That was the entire reason for giving subscribers a monthly grant.. So that we would have access to the stuff in the Cartel Market without having to pay any additional money beyond our subscription..

People would have a more valid complaint if we DIDN'T have a monthly grant of coins.. If we had no grant of coins, we would have to pay extra for any coins we want to use in the Market.. As it is, our subscription comes with a monthly grant for us to use at no additional cost..

I just hope that they keep their promise on optimizing the engine (one of the reasons this game lost alot of sub's I think - just pure speculation, but with Ability Delay and low FPS in combat in the mix, some people get tired of it) and squasing those known bugs.

I'll give you an example, I had to move my SWTOR folder from my SSD (where Windows also is) to an older and slower HD to gain a performance boost! Not only that, but having to tweak my nvidia settings with third party software to get the game running within acceptable parameters (Ambient Occlusion is turned ON by default = huge FPS impact and Pre-Rendered Frames has to be set to 1 manually). Still, when entering combat (especially PvP) my FPS dips into the low 20's and 30's. Considering how few speciel effects that are on the screen, that is not acceptable.

And dont tell me that Windows takes that much power when every other game has no problem what so ever keeping my framerate at 60+ (my specs are i5 3750k @ 3.4Ghz, GTX 670 Phantom, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD and Windows 7 Ultimate with minimum running services and apps in the background).

Customization in a characters looks is not a feature.. It is a luxury.. How your character looks has no impact on the game itself.. Your character could look like a smurf and the game would still play the same.. You would still have the same abilities according to your class and your gear would still provide the same stats to your character.. So lets be honest here.. The ability to change your characters looks is not a feature.. It doesn't impact the game in the slightest.. It serves no function in the game.. It doesn't make anything harder or easier.. That is simply a fact..

We are given the complementary coins to give us access to things in the Cartel Market.. So when things like the Cathar are added and the designer Kiosk is added.. We do have the ability to purchase them without having to actually BUY more coins to do it.. You do not have to spend a single penny to get these things.. Again, that is simply a fact..

Bioware/EA are not hurting you.. They are not charging you extra for anything.. You are not being cheated or ripped off.. They have done nothing to you.. They give us those free coins so that we can buy them without incurring an additional cost.. All preferred and F2P players will have to purchase coins to get them.. They will have to pay extra.. Also the Kiosk will be discounted for subscribers.. Not to mention, we will also have to wait and see what makes to the GTN.. Everyone is throwing a tizzy over nothing.. That is also a fact..
Your definition states that customization is a luxury and not a feature. You also stated that it serves no function in the game. Since this "luxury" serves no purpose why is the community being "ripped off" in terms of content. Lets say that 2.1 comes out June 1st. It could be as early as mid-july or as late as September until 2.2 delievers something to do with content.

I can only speak for myself but I feel as if 2.1 should have been content for pve and pvp. Bioware does cartel market upgrades all the time. Essentially, Bioware is doing a cartel market upgrade and passing it off as cylical content releases. The consequence of this is everything that players were hoping for (FPs, WZs, Ranked system, OPS, etc) is now pushed back 2 or more months.

This would all be mute if someone would speak up at Bioware and say we plan on releasing X amount of FPs for 2.3 (assuming 2.2 is PvP) in addition to a new ops, etc.

The engine was probably not why the game lost subs. People who burned through the content in two weeks and started ************ about lack of content were the problem. And then there was the ungodly amount of time it took BW to create a transfer system (redundantly too complex, it has yet to see its full use) to get rid of ghost town servers which resulted from the first problem.
The engine is getting optimized all the time, PvP runs much more smoothly now than it did before.

As for your performance problem,s that seems really strange, SSD should provide the boost, not cut it down. And as for modifying your graphic settings by external software, I never needed to do that (in fact, messing with graphic setting by some third party program can cause problems everywhere), and i run almost the same setup you do (i7-3770 and Win8 Pro are the only difference, and the game does not utilize all cores), and my game runs normally in 60+ FPS with all settings maxed out...
PCs are incredibly complex and two almost same machines can have major differences in how the software is running, just to give all people an idea how complicated is to find where the problem is (if you do not know where the problem is, you cannot fix it).
