Ok, I'll update this thread when I've done that, thanks.

I did a chkdsk when the Launcher asked for yet another round of repairs. After that, I started up the Launcher and it's now repairing 11 files. I have a raid coming up in 9 hours. If this game is not up by then, I'll have to cancel. No game is worth this.

Hi ThePasserby,

Please try these steps:
  • Connect directly with an Ethernet cable if possible as this provides a more reliable connection in terms of data integrity.
  • Run Memtest86+ with a minimum of 6 runs.
  • The problem files are listed in your launcher log, delete these problem files and let the repair process replace them.

Hi Cerimon,

1. I have always been connected directly with an Ethernet cable.
2. Which file am I supposed to download? And how should I use it? That website looks like it's written by techies for techies. I can't make any sense out of it.
3. Which files are the problem files. They aren't obvious to me at all.

Having the same and memtest offered sollutuion didnt help, launcher keeps repairing and dowloanding 5gb with notification and the end of dowlnoad that instalation failed, then keeps reparing again. Since monday couldnt get through pass the launcher since 1rst i got mesage service temporary unavailable, then after patch repairing and downloading all the time. Other mmos work, falling deeper into the dark side, signing off.

ThePasserby,

In a default install of the game the files in question are located here:

Exactly. I have other games installed that also have regular patches and they've never given me problems like this. Clearly, the code needs to be cleaned up, and not expect customers to run all sorts of third party programs on their machines.

Since I have installed the game in drive D:, which is a partition of my hard disk, I should find these files in the corresponding folders, correct?

I still have the Launcher repairing files right this moment. Am I to close the Launcher, delete those files, and start the Launcher again?

Also, the Launcher says it is repairing 11 files and the list of files you gave me also has 11 files. So, do I still need to stop the Launcher and delete those files you listed?
