I manage to kite just fine, so I agree... kiting is not something everyone can do. I can, you cannot. Some of us older gamers know how to strafe kite... that's what makes the difference between us and "less talented players" :P

I like the fact that jumping slows you down. The retarded WoW PVP kiting always drove me nuts. Agree with the other poster that found it immersion breaking.

I can see the arguement for taking the basic attack off the GCD though.

Fluent? Fluent in what, Spanish? French? Italian? Wrong word there buddy. As for the controls it's all a matter of the beholder's eye. I think it's pretty fun and has a good feel. Not saying you're wrong just not saying I agree with you.

I'm so happy they got rid of the stupid bunny jumping from WoW's PvP... I guess the kids who think jumping means skill can go back there.

Especially since it's very obvious what the problem is here. The OP is using jump as a way to change direction during a fight, aka bunny hopping. In this game it slows you down. It's quite possibly the worse thing you can do when kiting.
Have you tried running, jumping, and turning around in mid-air in real life? Just throwing that out there.

Also let's keep in mind that wow's combat system was pretty poor when it first came out. Give TOR the better part of a decade, and i'm sure they can do something about it

To many of you are blinded by your love for the IP and simply do not accept ANYTHING anyone says negatively about the game, no matter how valid it is.
Honestly, you might try tweaking some settings? What specs is your pc? I haven't experienced any of what your are describing. I find the combat extremely fluid and responsive. It's definitely on par with wow though I enjoy tor's animations more.

I've played wow since release and I'll probably play the panda version. So no die hard fanboy here. Think what you are seeing is related to your hardware via bug or low system specs.

Wait, we are playing Star Wars and you are talking about realism, are you ****** kidding me?

Yes you can still kite but it's very sloppy, slow and crap. Like i said, it feels like you are walking on rails.
