When will dev's learn that you need a smooth, nice and fluent combat system. Seems like only Blizzard know.

Which is a shame because the game is actually very cool but I simply can't stand clunky, heavy unresponsive controls/combat, it's a total game killer. The jumping in this game makes me what to throw up.

Feels like your character is walking on rails, insane.
Seems like OP can't play and relies on autoattacks.

Also they aren't going to fix anything, people have been saying the combat is clunky etc from beta days and nothing has changed, I'm actually the idiot and moron for not reading the forums before my purchase. So I'm sorry, I'm the moron and idiot here. Not only am I a moron but I'm also $60 at loss.
As for the warning, I feel for you, yesterday I got one for exposing an obvious troll..ah well.

As for the rest...What exactly is your gripe now? That you bought a new product where little information on handling is available and that information which is, is highly biased in one or the other direction?

You took a risk, it bit you in the butt. This happens millions of times a day, to everyone out there. Such is live.

A good hint could have been the reports from beta, but instead of waiting to see if it changed you had to get the game now. I fail to see how anyone is to blame here but you. If you see yourself as a idiot and a [insert dangerous M-word here], then well...what can I say? You know yourself best.
Self-pity won't change anything.

no but seriously, you are extremely exagerating.

He's post on.

Mark my words, this game will fall apart in about 3 months. Over 60% of servers will close and merge into a little community like RIFT, AOC etc, were only the true fanbois continue to play, no matter how bad the game is.

Don't get me wrong they also stuffed up epicly on AH, diminishing returns, crafting, raid frames, healing etc but I can let all that pass, but having AWFUL combat controls I simply can't.

Seems they put all their time into cut-scenes and not gameplay. This game is also insanely instanced like Guild Wars, rendering the "MMO" part.

I think BW should stick to the SP department.

To many of you are blinded by your love for the IP and simply do not accept ANYTHING anyone says negatively about the game, no matter how valid it is.

Not saying that you are right or wrong about the combat system, but I feel it is important to point out that you are comparing a newly launched game to a game that has had plenty of time to mature (I.e. get tweaked a LOT!). Did you play WoW at launch? Omg. The lag! If you have only played "the best MMO made in the last 7 years" after it has been in the market for a while then you have very unrealistic expectations for a game at launch.

TOR has had the smoothest launch I have ever played in. Are there plenty of things the devs can do better? Absolutely! But to compare this game to others that have failed is going way too far. Warhammer didn't have half the polish that this game does at it's release.

for me this is the only mmo besides wow that feels smooth combat wise , first 5 lvls its different but its just as fast responsive in my eyes so realy like it alot . Most mmos did have that disconnected feel like lotro did .

Dang, I need to stop responding to threads which will get deleted.

Just lost a couple of posts. But then..me posting in them could be a way to get them deleted.

Muhahahaha...
Hotte censorship all the way.

j/k

P.S.: Don't get too worked up over a game. Don't forget to have fun once in a while, scroogies.

Wait... because it's NOT like every other single MMO ever made, you're upset?

Maybe you should learn new tactics based on THIS game rather than demand they change it so you can use the tactics you want.

I have played WoW since BC and I honestly have no idea what your talking about. When I press something it happens for me.

As long as you leave the game, I'm fine with it. Obviously you just search for a WoW clone. Mark my words, you won't like GW2!.

The combat system is good, in no way unresponsive. Maybe you can't kite, but did you ever consider that being INTENDED? You said you played Warhammer Online, THAT was some awful combat system. Does every other MMO need the same mechanics like WoW? The only game breaking thing right now are the server queues and some missing end game content but besides that SWTOR is really great so far and I'm in good hopes that it will last at least some years. I can live with the fact that people like you are quitting quite early (Less queue waiting time for me).

Well going from WoW to Rift to TOR.. the gameplay and animations are smooth as heck for me.

I love it.
