So I've been playing perfectly fine since the beta phases but today, more specifically this evening, I've been getting massive lagspikes (150-200ms, then drops all the way to 8-10k ones), followed up by disconnects. Which sends me back to the queue of 1000 people. I have been in queue's for 6 hours tonight. What a wonderful launch day.

I speculate that maybe it's because I'm on a west-coast server as an east-coaster (playing with my friends of 10 years)...but...that doesn't make much sense seeing as how I've always played on a westcoast through the past few weeks.

Ideas?

Anyone on your network downloading torrents? Sounds like it's client-side. I could be wrong.

Do you get error code 9000? Many people have DC problems and get that error code..

Happens on Imperial Fleet, Kaas and Balmorra.

Only person on network.

Yep error code 9000 but I watched the ping literally skyrocket then die, so thought that may have been different. Also going through 4 1,000 queues...kinda rediculous...haven't played in a while :[

Check your router's system log. I keep seeing this on mine:

Dec 21 00:30:59 2011 System Log WAN Coax WAN Coax Link Up
Dec 21 00:30:52 2011 System Log WAN Coax WAN Coax Link Down

So it could be client side, at least for some of us(like I think it is for me). If I'm browsing the web or something it usually just means web pages load really slow for those ~7 seconds but in game it'll result in a 7 second lag spike and sometimes, a disconnect(I think 10k MS is the cutoff for disconnects).

I get this as well, except my ping spikes too something like 70k ms, I've seen 150k ms once or twice. However I wasn't being disconnected until tonight which has happened twice so far. Usually I'd lag out, and after like 20 seconds or so, it would then catch itself back up and I'd be fine for a while where upon it would do it again.

Seems that it might happen occasionally on any planet, but almost without fail it will do it at Fleet.

Almost positive it is not my connection as while its lagging out, I can still browse the net with no problems.

Happened to me as well while in Balmorra and my ship. Ping went up to 200k ms but didn't disconnect, which is just bizarre. My connection was fine for everything else. just massive lag spikes for about an hour.

I'm having the same issue - It only started after the last patch. I've been performing constant tracert's to see where the problem is but it's been difficult to track down. Outside from that, my internet works fine while lagging in an unplayable state in-game.

EDIT: Just did another tracert. This is basically what I'm seeing, not sure if anyone else is going through the same route.
