ME1 and DA: Origins (I played it 19 times). Oh and Skyrim, 720 hrs and still didn't finish. I'm sure I can handle Makeb 12 times (I have 12 characters).
GSS Legacy, StarForged
Guild Leader for Galactic Security Solutions (Pub)
Imperial Independence (Empire)

I have played swtor since beta, and completed all content to date, including Scum and Villainy, I have 2 lvl 55, and 1 lvl 51 on its way to 55. So I have a lot of experience in this game, but for me, there is only 1 word I can use to describe this expansion, disappointing, it is disappointing on all levels and leave so much to be desired.

I remember the old days, when I used to play KOTOR, possibly the greatest RPG of it's time, truly amazing, and I look at swtor, and it makes me sad, before people get on my back let me explain why.

Firstly, the story, what happened to the bioware of old, where each planet had it's own unique and interesting story, when I genuinely felt like something was happening and I was all that stood in the way of chaos, now we get the same old cookie cutter story on each planet, by the second time of playing it through you will be hitting the space bar I promise.

Secondly, the decisions, in old bioware games the decisions you made ACTUALLY MADE A DIFFERENCE! Now, nothing changes, not even what the person you are talking to says. That hurts bioware... I mean wow... it is lazy, that is the only way I can put it.

Finally, the missions and game play, nothing new came out at all with rise of the hutt cartel, the combat feel plain and uninteresting, and at some points just too easy. I was bored out of my mind grinding through Makeb, where the mobs felt like they were just put there to waste our time and slow down the grind to 55. And the missions are ALL THE SAME, go here and click this, maybe kill X many people.

Sorry, but for me, this just isnt good enough for a bioware game, where I have grown to expect more, the whole thing felt lazy and it felt like it is there just to make another quick bit of money. Just like the cartel packs.

Thank you to all those that found the time to read the post and I hope bioware changes something. Because I love star wars, but right now I don't feel bioware or EA does.
I agree on some points, some I dont.

I agree that missions needed more variety. I have never understood why every mmo:s 96% of quests are, kill 10 mobs, collect 10 items. Boring and nothing new here. Comparing to what kind of time and money other areas in this game cost, it shouldnt be too much to ask to give a lot more variety in your questing.

On the other hand keeping in mind that this is an mmo, story is briliant. For example you cant do things like you had in kotor when your ship crashed and you cant leave the planet before you get it repaired. MMO has its restrictions. How many hours have you played kotor? How many hours does kotor runthrough take? 30 hours? Of course you can create a thrilling story, when you dont have to worry about keeping subscribers for months and years.

I have played both kotor through like 5 times, cause im a huge star wars fan. I can tell you that your choices make absolutely no difference in kotor. There are few dialogue options that change, other than that those choices are meaningless. Even darkside/lightside points make no difference, cause you have more than enough force points in high levels anyway. In Kotor 1 the only choice that actually make a difference is when you choose to join bastilla in the darkside or go light side before the final level. And hell I can tell you, allready on my second run of kotor I spacebared a lot.

Not to mention the lags and bugs in swtor are nothing compared to the bug fest in kotor.

Referring back to the OP, anytime I see a post mention "the old days" (with or without "good"), I know I'm in for a trip down Nostalgia Lane which has no grounding in reality.

PvE-Wise, I think RotHC was actually very good. Aside from the majority of Gathering Crew Skills being extensively bugged, it's also pretty stable.

PvP-Wise though, RotHC has been a total disaster.

5/10
Alphanoob, Alpha-zen (among others) - Garbage S1 Champion
Ebon Hawk | Harbinger
SWTOR 4.3: It was good while it lasted. Thanks BW

Ahh the days of kotor, greatest rpg game I played. The moment i found out i was revan was a monumental shock. But this is a MMo, and overall a damn good one.

Indeed, when one considers the pratical limitations of the genre BW's done an excellent job mateing it to their story set up. room for improvement is there no doubt but..

So far i'm happy with the pve stuff , except crews skill are not workng right, can't comment about pvp sense i don't do that. I'm looking forward to the next expansion , my guess is that it will be larger.

I agree with everything stated from boring quests to lack of new additions (rehashed hard modes and no new warzones) In addition I expected Makeb to be more open-world, but it was the exact opposite. The game designers were advertising Makeb's greatness and uniqueness, but I was disappointing. Taxis that take you to instanced parts of Makeb... the sense of adventuring this new planet was not there. I also hated how my companion would just sit there motionless, haha Mako looked like a zombie. I spent 20 bucks for this expansion (don't think it was worth that much), but for 10 bucks I think its probably worth it

Beautiful necro.

And I need to say, what a clever way to bring more dismay, misery and pessimism on this game
