So far the seeker droid quests have been an exercise in pure frustration. I am abandoning the whole damn thing. Deleted

How? I thought the game was coded to give you the seed within 5-10 scans in the proper location. I don't even triangulate I just walk in, seek and find within a minute or two.

I triangulate when looking for special treasures, but the quest itself seems to be an automatic advancement deal.

You would really have to ignore the direction finder after each dig to have so much trouble finding stuff. I did Taris, Tatooine today and by far the majority of the time was spent just getting where I needed to be. The map indicator isn't a precise location (big surprise, not) but I did not even bother with the enhancements for the seeker and still found both seeds pretty quickly.

A friend and her b/f have been doing the quests together and they are having fun. I guess it depends on your outlook on it.

As soon as I figured out how to actually use the seeker droid to find the seeds, I got the last few in about 2 minutes at each location

It doesn't actually take that long to find worthwhile things if you pay attention to what it's telling you. Besides the dreadseed stuff, I've got a fair amount of orange moddable gear and an prototypes as well as a lot of stuff that I could re making a lot of my crafting progression free. Even the jusk can be sold for decent coin. It almost never brings back noghting. And the story elements are fun. Of course, I like fishing If you don't approach it like a speed run of a daily, it's a nice change of pace.

You can, it's just the set pieces that won't drop if you haven't chosen either the LS or DS chestpiece, which of course requires you to complete the deadseed quest line.

After reading back a bit, I have to say that I have no idea why it seems to be taking some people so long to find things. I've never spent longer than half an hour and it's usually under ten-fifteen minutes.

As for people having trouble collecting seeds. They're ALWAYS inside those black structures. Just scan directly over them and you'll never spent more than 20 minutes in any area since there's no more than like 30 of these structures in each zone.
Actually, you are incorrect. I did the seed quests on 4 toons before I ever found one actually inside any of the black corruptions. Please do a little research before posting anything as an absolute.
