I know this because I'm an American that plays on Dalborra precisely because your tiny community is easier for my crappy PC to handle.

Keep on stereotyping about dumb Americans and stickin' the finger though. Insert abusive husband / kangaroo joke here.

Also, don't blame BW or the USA for your ping. Blame Optus, Telstra, your government, and the rest of the good ol' boy monopoly keeping real companies from laying real groundwork there. I'm at around 150MS at worst connecting to you from Idaho.

Did you just actually say that ping is not dependent on distance? Oh ma lord, an seeing that the American servers are across the pacific your lucky to get 150ms. Also our government is upgrading our Internet network that will make it better then yours apararently.

4-5x larger GTN of green **** that mobs drop, awesome. There was a thread recently that compared prices of stuff that actually matters and dalborra was fairly competitive in those prices.

Dalborra has been getting 120+ people during prime time and this after the server merge announcement where a lot of people quit, an while harbinger might have 200 off peak that hardly corresponds to better gameplay. It just shows how having 300 million people beats 23 million.

But carry on deliberately handicapping yourself, because if your Australian and want to play most games online we don't get the choice. So no you are not facing the same situation as us ever.

"Keep on stereotyping about dumb American", I will thanks.

This server shutdown, combined with Disney now owning the LucasArts license and shutting down the company, makes this game pretty much exclusively EA now, and they were already on my short list of "do not give money to". The server shutdown I could tolerate, barely, but Disney shutting down LucasArts means I'll be cancelling my sub and uninstalling this game completely. Disney won't be getting a cent from me. As far as I'm concerned, Star Wars has had its greatness, and now all these companies are just cashing in on it. That wouldn't be such a bad thing if they weren't doing so much damage to the story and the culture.

For the record, EVE Online is way better than this anyway, and CCP don't have any shareholders to pander to, so I'll be over there from here on out if anyone wants me...

No, you can't have my things.

No, those words are not in my post, at all.

That's 4-5x more everything. Competitive pricing is in the eye of the beholder btw.

Yesterday afternoon there were 3 instances of Harbinger fleet with 400ish people in each instance. Yesterday On Dalborra my healer was in queue for 2 hours before I gave up and logged a lowbie alt.

Yeah, okay. Enjoy the merger, we'll greet you with open apathy.

For starters, Lucasarts had nothing to do with the development of this game. Secondly, Lucasarts hasn't *developed* a financially successful game in a long time, and prior to that the gap was even longer. They're remaining as a publishing house, just not internally developing games any more.

And you can't even begin to compare EVE to SWTOR, they're completely different styles of game. Just because they are both "MMO's" doesn't mean they come close to falling into the same category.

I understand your frustration, but please if you are going to come to the forums and complain at least give legitimate reasons rather than doing what an unfortunate majority of other people have been doing and spouting a bunch of uninformed, often completely misunderstood twoddle before storming off into the sunset saying that EA will never get your money again.
