In that case, I apologize. But it still seems that you want more information than should be expected. They have good reasons for the things that they don't communicate.

The request for more communication seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Why argue against it?

+1 BioWare need to communicate better with its community. The tention ingame and on the forum atm is bad. BioWare should have acted months ago.
May the Force be with you.

You got the math wrong. Next week is 9 weeks, minus the 2 from the holidays which is 7. Estimated content turnaround is 6-8 weeks, therefore, they still have more time to get 1.7 out.

The extra weeks was because they were giving people time off. If they were to give people time off and move the date back only counting time worked then they counted twice. It's one or the other. Either they pushed it back which would make 9 weeks next week, or they didn't push it back at all but had two weeks out of the office, in which case next week is the 7th week and they have till next week to make their normal 6-8

the more BW( or any game dev ) communicates, the more of these kinds of threads are created... "im outraged", "devs lied", "devs said 6 weeks", "devs promiced this and that", and on and on and on.

gamers are not rational or mature enough to handle early release of any kind of info.
can't wait for this game to come out!

Have you ever noticed how something doesn't have to actually be late for people to complain about it being late?

Cool your heels, they have a great content update system, a lot faster than most MMO's out there. It was the holiday season, even besides the 2 week break, members of the team may have taken other holiday time, so they would have been shorthanded.
The reason I think 9 weeks is too long between content cycles is because of the population drop I've been seeing in-game lately. 6-7 weeks between seems to work well, but the two extra weeks appears to be causing a pretty substantial drop. This isn't based on numbers, merely my own observation, so take it with a grain of salt.

Actually, this wasn't a complaint about it being hypothetically late, it was merely to ask if it was going to be late. If they're going to be late, I'd much rather they said so before the due date. "We've run into some issues with this patch and will be taking a little longer to get it out at the quality level we want. Thanks for being patient!"

Would something like that stop every single person from complaining? No. However, the rational beings among us (yes, there are a few) value clear communication when it affects a product delivery.
