The Shadowlands - Empire

Official Website

What we are looking for

Active and mature players to join our ranks. We are a newly established guild on The Shadowlands server. We are focused on end game progression, although we still do enjoy every aspect of the game. We ask that all players who are interested be 18 or older. Those underage will be considered on a case by case basis.

What we are about

New Imperial Order provides players a structured community for end-game raiding. We achieve structure by providing general rules of conduct, raiding rules, and communication mechanisms. New Imperial Order fosters an enjoyable, often funny, relaxed, and mature social environment.

Raiding Goals

"This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Kenobi, and will soon see the end of the rebellion." - Vader

When it comes to raid progression, our goal is to do our best, not necessarily to be the best. This means showing consideration for your group, preparing, and learning and playing your best. It does not mean ignoring sleep, pushing content to be number one, or putting raid content before real life. A successful raid group (and even a successful guild) is similar to a team effort marathon race. If we sprint, we may indeed make the mile markers first and feel the sense of quick rewards. But if we pace ourselves and plan/train properly, we will finish the race and have a greater sense of satisfaction.

New Imperial Order will have a casual atmosphere in regards to flashpoint group formation. This will be the time to focus on building and identifying players who can be become potential raiders.

*Note: Substitute roles are exactly that, filling in for a primary member who can not make it temporarily. However, substitute roles could potentially lead to permanent positions of the raid, if the member becomes inconsistent with attending raids.

Raiding Rules

"He's no good to me dead." - Boba Fett

These players exhibit the following characteristics

  • Express a desire to raid.
  • Have raiding character that are appropriately geared.
  • Have knowledge and control over their class.

Raid slots are filled in the following order

  • Raid leaders.
  • Class composition.
  • According to raid sign-ups (via guild website).
  • On time.
  • Not signed-up.

All raid eligible players are required to read appropriate boss strategies before entering the raid, preferably at least thirty minutes before raid time. The importance of this rule is many-fold: reduce time spent explaining fights, avoid the risks of AFK's, avoid boring veterans and avoid slowing progression and most importantly to allow focus on tailoring guild raiding strategies. Boss attempts are announced with the scheduled event; in the case when boss attempts are not announced or extra bosses were attempted, this rule is relaxed.

Raiders are required to be in TeamSpeak3 during raiding times. Voiced communication is key for the purposes of coordination.

Loot Distribution

"Look, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I'm not in it for you, Princess. I expect to be well paid. I'm in it for the money." - Han

Priority for distribution is as follows:

  • Main spec.
  • Current spec (if different from main spec).
  • Off Spec.
  • Companions.
  • Random greed roll.

To ensure that our raid groups, as whole, are properly geared for the content we are working on, loot is distributed throughout the group as evenly as possible.

Rare materials

Rare materials are distributed on a priority system, as well. If there are members in the group who need those materials to better their main character's gear to the required level, and will be using them as such, those members retain roll priority. Members who no longer need those mats will not be eligible to roll until all members have upgraded their gear to the required level.

When the gear of all main characters in the group is at the required level, only then will rare mats be freely rolled upon by all group members for alts and/or selling.

Required Raid tools

"R2-D2, you know better than to trust a strange computer." - C3PO

MOX - Only for progression raid group.

TeamSpeak3 - All raid groups

TeamSpeak

New Imperial Order requires all members have TeamSpeak3 installed and setup to our server.

Guild raiding requires all members in the group to be logged onto TeamSpeak3. This is to facilitate communication of strategies, coordination, and loot distribution announcements. We strongly recommend a microphone for purposes of coordination. When voiced communication is not necessary to defeat a boss, you can type instead of using a microphone.
