Stuck at "Installing Main Assets 100 (0%)"

Im re-downloading it right now. It seems to download fine and it has installed some things without any freeze. I will have to wait and see if it works. If not... I have nothing else to do.

I'll wait till I'm back from work so that most ppl are done with the new patch from today, see that that gives me..

The problem is not on our computers, but this **** update.

I'm hoping the new update. If not (which I suspect will happen) I can only cancel my subscription, which will be very sad to me.

I play since beta test.Like many here, I was waiting for this game for years and years. I am a passionate fan of Star Wars. It's always the same problem: the update has problems, or Harbinger down for no apparent reason, or the lag is too high, or inventory items disappear, or get no cartel coins, finally, always has some serious problem that takes to be resolved or is unresolved (when it comes to be solved, of course).

As expected Patched perfectly for me, there is a reason that must be causing your failure but sometimes it can be a right pain to try and guess what it is, especially remotely over a forum.

For those with the issue try what I did. Worked for me at least.

Download and install sw:tor Unleashed. Then start it and select the "retail copy" start instead of Unleashed. It patched and installed for me then when nothing else worked.

I did everything Bioware and you recommended me. I do not know what else to do!

Ahh yes you had all the AMD video crashes, can you go to the link below and down the latest drivers for your computer.

This link appears to be what you need, now this may help with your unable to play issues but do not think it will assist in patching, these drivers are 6 months newer then the ones you have installed

Edit - please uninstall current AMD drivers before installing these ones.

If this is not resolved when i get up in the morning (1am here) I will have a close look at everything you posted up and what you have tried, in case something has slipped through the cracks.
