Sorry for the wait, but real-life issues got in the way. I am hoping to make this the last part of The Great Sith War, but if it is not, then the Exar Kun thread will have to wait (I want to post the end of TGSW along with the Exar Kun thread). Anyway, let's continue.

"I'm going to prove The Republic is weak and vulnerable, Exar Kun,"- Ulic Qel-Droma

With the Mandalorians under his banner, Ulic Qel-Droma led a massive invasion of the Foerost Shipyards. His Mandalorians assaulted the ground forces while Ulic's warships moved into position under the cover of Aleema Keto's illusions. When they were in position, Ulic launched the attack with Krath Warships and Chaos Fighters. The ferocity of the attack caught the Republic defenders off-guard and resulted in a crushing victory for Ulic Qel-Droma. As apart of Exar Kun's plan, Ulic captured the three hundred Republic vessels that were stationed at the Foerost Shipyards.

Qel-Droma and Mandalore the Indomitable then plotted an invasion of the galactic capital of Coruscant. The home fleet of Coruscant would prove difficult to defeat, which is why Ulic let leak an attack on the critical juncture at Kemplex IX. The attack would never truly take place, but the Republic defense fleet left Coruscant without a defensive fleet. This allowed Ulic and his Mandalorians to invade Coruscant in an attempt to topple The Republic.

Exar Kun warned against the invasion at first, saying that his plans would fall apart if the attack failed, but Ulic and Mandalore attacked anyway. The beginning invasion was a resounding success. Even the best of the Jedi had difficulty holding back the swarms of Mandalorians, allowing Ulic to march into the Republic War room. But Ulic's victory was taken away.

Aleema Keto took this time to usurp Ulic of his command. She contacted Mandalore and told him that Ulic had been captured and she demanded that a retreat be made. Mandalore was hesitant at first, but followed her orders. Ulic was left alone in the War Room to face Vodo Baas and the Jedi. The Jedi casted a Wall of Light around him, paralyzing him. He was captured and the Supreme Chancellor demanded his trial and execution.

During the retreat from Coruscant, the Mandalorians regrouped and joined with the Krath in making attacks across the galaxy. These attacks devastated The Republic and allowed Exar Kun's plans to move forward, even without Ulic Qel-Droma, who was being tried by The Republic Inquisition.

Surprisingly, Ulic plead guilty to all charges of treason against The Republic, War Crimes against The Republic, and treason against the Jedi Order. He then told the Inquisition that he despised them and called The Republic a flawed government. The Inquisition sentenced him to death.

Meanwhile, Mandalore learned of Aleema's betrayal and asked Exar Kun if they may rescue Ulic from the Republic. Kun had suspected the attack to be a failure and told Ulic that he would not save him, but Kun decided to save Ulic despite the loss.

Before leaving, Exar Kun dispatched his students to kill their masters. He called the Jedi heretics and told his students that they must be stuck down for their ignorance. These assassinations were quite successful, killing many Jedi Masters, but a few were able to fend off their attackers.

With his students sent off on the Jedi Pogrom, Exar Kun took his host of Massassi Warriors and the Mandalorians to Coruscant. Once there, Exar Kun marched through the Senate Hall and used his Dark powers to completely paralyze the Inquisition except for the Chancellor, whom he killed personally.

But the Jedi would not stand for this. Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas confronted and dueled his former student Exar Kun. The ferocity of Exar Kun's battle style and his use of the double-bladed lightsaber quickly outmatched Master Baas' in the duel. Against the powerful strikes of Kun's lightsaber, Baas faltered and was cut down, Kun mocking him even as he became One with The Force. Kun's part in the Pogrom was complete and he departed the Senate with his apprentice intact.

Despite the losses of several Jedi Masters, the Order redoubled their efforts to defeat Exar Kun and end the war.

*What weapon did Baas use in his battle with Exar Kun?

Yes. A Force-imbued wooden staff that gave it the strength to block lightsabers.

one of these days have to do a look at them, and the Makatui. Probably my two favorite force using groups.

For sure I will be doing threads on cults of all kinds. Force-using, non-Force-using. Those threads will go out along with my Galactic History series (which will start with the Infinite Empire! )
