It's a planet with PvP areas. It's a mission marketed at everyone. Most people choosing non-PvP servers do so because ... better sit down this may shock you ... they have no interest in PvP.

Autoflagging people for PvP who went out of their way to avoid PvP is just wrong. Shame on EA for doing this.

World of Warcraft has been including these kinds of areas for several expansions. It adds a dynamic element to an otherwise ordinary quest hub.

The idea is to get players intermingling in the same area to create the possibility for spontaneous PvP. There's something about trying to do dailies knowing you have to watch your back that really heightens the tension of the experience.

Over the weekend, I spent time with an ops group in Section X preventing Imps from getting a Dreadtooth kil. We never really stood a chance against their superior numbers, but it was a fun back-and-forth that provided an escape from the predictable norm.

You like (or tolerate) PvP. I accept that. Why do you refuse to accept the fact that many people do not find it fun or even tolerable?

It's not just you or even limited to this game. Every game I've played that allowed PVP the prevailing PVP player attitude seems to be "oh they don't know what they're missing". Guess what? Been there, done that, I don't swing that way.

You make far too many assumptions. These quests are aimed (presumably) at PvPers - since they are the ones who had Ilum quests removed a year ago. If you want to do the missions, accept the risks. Just because you only "PvE" doesn't entitle you to skip the game mechanics.

If you take a mission inside a PvP area, it's a PvP mission with PvE objectives. These missions are meant to incentivize PvP. If that's not something you want to do, don't.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

The HK-51 quest? That's the context I'm talking about.

BS with a capital B and a capital S.

Lets play a little turnabout. New game content is devised where PvP'ers are required to join a PvE operations group to obtain a PvP reward. You're going to stand there with a straight face and tell me there wouldn't and shouldn't be a massive uproar from the PvP 'community'?

Like I said, I call BS on that.

That would be nice if somekind of operation boss join a PvP fight For example Satele Shan suddenly arrive to the Ancient Hypergate to help the republic side. :P

After getting chain ganked for nearly 6 hours trying to get a part that first day , I really remembered why I always have hated PVP in MMOs
You seriously let yourself get chain ganked for that long? That's on you being stupid. Your options, perfectly viable:

1) join a ops group, since there were no lack of others not wanting to be in your boat. I chose this option on my sorcerer. There were literally 4 people waiting outside and we all COMMUNICATED and grouped up. People came to gank. They got zerged. Nice and easy.

2) Wait until the next morning, log in before work, nice, quiet Outlaw Den.
3) Wait about 3 days to even start, Outlaw traffic down 60% then.

Honestly, even if you WERE killed repeatedly, you probably could have stealth walked/ran your way across the den in what? 30 minutes? --> speculating here. You get 20 seconds of undetectable stealth after death in PvP.
Then you buy the part, recall out.

So stop. Stop with the over-exaggerations covering up for terrible playing and thought processes.
