Nobody's suggesting that PVP players shouldn't get an update catered to them, at least they shouldn't be anyway. It's a perfectly valid playstyle which a number of people like.

In principle PVP players should be able to get all PVP-related weapons, gear etc by taking part by PVP and also "stuff" like pets/speeders/cash/etc by taking part in PVP. The same "stuff" should also be available to PVE players by taking part in exclusively PVE-related activities and they shouldn't have to go anywhere that auto-flags them for PVP for anything at all, except if they want to take part in PVP and get PVP specific stuff of course.

Having said that, I'd keep the Outlaws Den as it is so if people want to go have an all vs all, go for it. It's the only place you can fight people of your own faction (I'm not counting duels) so it should stay. I wouldn't have put an event world boss or an HK51 part in there though.

BW is trying to force PvP. It's that simple.

Bw is givin something to PvP player, because actually the PvP is really poor. Not forcing you to have a super uber cool armor. You can avoid it. Ah troll, sorry i don't have to feed it.

I don't like the pvp in swtor, but love the pve side. I'm on a pve server and wanna do pve. Obviously that puts me at a great disadvantage when I'm forced to enter a pvp area. I got HK the first night of release and the outlaws den was a gathering point of loser pvp players who had nothing better to do than camp the jawa dealer and gank pver's. Low level, no expertise, just there to get HK part. You have to wonder what kind of personality gets a kick out of killing defenseless low levels just trying to get their HK part. Don't mix worlds on pve servers, there's a reason we picked the pve server.

Well you don't need uber pve gear to level (if you're talking about using pve to level), can level in bought gear from AH no problems. Some people even get by wearing greens.

Going into pvp wearing pve gear however means instagib.

I don't mind if they do an event that has optional PvP. But I don't think it's a good plan to make a PvP exclusive event since that excludes a large portion of the PvE server crowd.

Lol really? I said equalize the stats... How does someone with equalized capped stats one shot anyone? Everybody is at the same stat cap the moment they enter the zone, you can't outstat anyone when you're all at the same level. It works, you just didn't read what I said right.

If all stats are leveled and expertise is removed, then everyone is on equal footing.

Bioware could have simply divided it into a pvp event and a pve event...they could have set the pvp event on the western shelf pvp zone and the pve new boss in the pve questing section. By putting them together in the pvp section they have really flopped in an attempt to copy WOWs wintergrasp/tol barad "world pvp". Bioware you have time to fix this...just separate the pvp and the pve you can still keep it all on ilum.

That's a lie - we're talking open world remember. If you get instagibbed by mobs in the open world you're doing it wrong (and is probably why you hate pve - you don't know how to play). You can even equip greens in pve in the open world which you can get from the AH easily - pvp gear requires grinding, and all pvp players are wearing ranked gear designed to make them overpower players in weaker ranked pvp gear (and especially players wearing pve gear - no chance vs a pvp player in ranked gear).
