Im in need of a laptop and i thought i would buy one good enough to play this.

Not good with laptops at all so wondering if anyone could help me out here the specs are

Would this be able to play the game if not what are the minimum specs for a laptop ?

That should be able to play fine. You may have to drop a few heavier settings down (EG: Shadows), however it should certainly play smoothly at medium settings :-)

Ive got a

2.4ghz i7
4gb ram
and a 1gb Nvidia GT230M

And I can run the game on low settings, it runs "ok" its not smooth and busy areas can be a bit stuttery. Anything of similar spec but with a better gfx card will play this game perfectly fine.

Scaling graphics will depend on your gfx card.

ps battery life - playing a game even with a top battery will only last about 30-45 minutes. Second you use the dedicated gfx to play a game it cuts battery life by about 75%

thanks i new i would have to scale the game down unless i payed for a top laptop

thanks for the info i will try to travel with a pluck socket near buy :P

GeForce® GT 540M supports DirectX 10, if you got one with GeForce® GT 560M that supports DirectX 11 would give a nice boost
