Maybe the Cartel Market unlock button means you can buy boosts to speed up your reputation leveling? I dunno.

Looks like a weekly cap. Meaning you don't need to do dailies everyday, you can choose to do them on certain days to meet the weekly cap. This way you won't be punished for missing out on a day or two.

At least that's my guess from what you wrote.

I suppose there is a limit to how much reputation points you can gain per week. Since reputations are legacy wide, that was done to prevent from "maxing out" one quickly with 12 character a player may have.

Since they represent faction system as an alternative way to "level up your character" (taken from 1.7 update page), it most likely is going to work similar way to usual leveling up, the rate of which can also be boosted.

Exactly!

Am I the only person concerned that no where in all that info does it once mention PvP?

I don't get the PVE'rs complaints.

Do we really need to break out statistics on how much gear is obtained through PVE vs. PVP?

The area mentioned in the notes is an area that automatically flags you for PVP.

Well it is on Ilum and in an open PvP area so you will most likely have to fight through the opposing side to complete these quests I would assume. Of course this is all initial information we should hopefully see more details as the release gets closer.
