1-855-GOSWTOR is no longer the contact number for customer service, calling the number just directs you to swtor.com/support/form. The new number not being a toll free number. While that change does not effect me personally, as I only have a cell phone, but this makes a huge negative statement about the state of the game, can't afford to set up toll free calling? It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take hours to get through to a human, which will likely transfer you anyways, for another couple hour hold time, even to departments that are closed. There are many things to complain about this game, I know I have a list, but not having toll free customer service is just not acceptable. What could possibly be a justification?

Well, people that play the game have internet = can call from Skype/Google Voice etc.

From http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/5200

"Please be aware that you can also use VoIP services (like Skype, Viber, Google Voice etc.) to call our Customer Service team, no matter what country you are calling from. International calls made using VoIP are generally substantially less expensive than calls made from a mobile phone or landline.

For telephone support in English, simply open the VoIP program of your choice, set your country to the UK and dial 0203 564 5481 to speak to a Customer Service Agent.

For French telephone support with VoIP services, set your location to France and dial (0157) 324 728, and for German phone support through VoIP set your location to Germany and dial (06999) 991 5590.
"

Why would anyone ever use a landline/mobile phone for international calls?

With the recent overnight changes to the toll free CS support, does this not violate Biowares own ToS?

They really ought to set up VoIP accounts so that VoIP users can call them for free. That would be the sensible solution. (For those not aware, Skype can and will charge for calling a landline.)
