Right now it seems to me as if you are complaining for the sake of having something to complain about.
Why should I have to use a third party program to save Bioware a bit of cash when I'm calling because of something they screwed up in the first place? Hell, why not tell players to mail a letter instead-that way it will only cost a stamp? Given the usual time between email and reply the letter might even be faster.

im pretty sure i called the right number but it was in fact different before the patch.
You are not calling the number correctly. You need to dial a 1 before the number, because it is long distance. For instance: 1-312-725-5740 Good Luck!

If the card is giving a decline notice they have to be able to see why that is happening, but Amex is weird (as far as how their systems integrate into processing networks), so even I'll admit I don't understand all their systems. When you talked to Amex did they route you to a specialist or just the normal rep? I know for many issuers that the average joe you talk to on the support line doesn't usually know or have access to actual transaction processing requests and to make any progress you need to be routed to a technical specialist who can actually review the incoming authorization requests.

Its not a gift or debit card? That can cause processing issues too if the transaction pre-auths plus the actual transaction would place the card over limit.

I know its frustrating, its not your fault, but you are the one who has to deal with it, but there is very little a merchant can do if they are getting a decline, its possible Amex isn't setup right in their system, then again if that is the case then all Amex transactions should decline.

Best of luck getting this resolved.

With the recent overnight changes to the toll free CS support, does this not violate Biowares own ToS?

312 is a Chicago area code. So they are spinning off Customer Service to a call center which may or may not have the ability to actually help us?

Why do I suddenly want my Collector's Edition refunded?
