I got stuck at Main Asset 98 (89%) installing. Repeatedly. Now I have once again, uninstalled the game completely, and I am attempting to re-install once more. My Sub runs out February 14, and I wouldn't even bother at this point, except I committed to a Operations Group that runs tonight. Unfortunately, it generally takes several hours to completely reinstall the game, and it probably won't be done by the time the Operation begins.

I don't think I'll be missing this game much come February 15th.

Hi all, i disable firewall, antivirus ran on safe mode, did this...
This worked for me:
1) delete the "patch" folder
2) delete patcher.version
3) delete retailclient_swtor.version
4) go to www.swtor.com/download (get the latest launcher setup file)
5) install the file
6) run the FixLauncher.exe file (DO NOT RUN the new SWTOR_setup - this will install the whole game new)

and there it goes - i can run the game now.

I was having the same problem. I uninstalled SWTOR, and reinstalled using discs. Sucks, but it worked for me.

Thank you...I don't have disks (install is through Origin) . I have tried repairing and re installing...still broken

have same problem... stuck at asset 98 (89%)
did all the thing said and nothing worked... no firewall and in window safe mode with network

As usual, they screw up the patcher yet again.

None of the usual rubbish fixes work - so only option is to completely reinstall the entire game. Thankfully i am no fool when it comes to MMO's. Hard copies of an MMO client are not there to install the game the first time. No, they are there so when the developers f--- up the patch process, you do NOT have to download 100% of the client again, wasting copious amounts of YOUR time.

Lost count how many MMO's f--- up a latest patch.
My time card ends on December 5th. I have no intent to subscribe, let alone play, after i have completed all 9 episodes of KotFE. Likely i will subscribe for a single month to finish off the ''season'', play what remains and then say good bye to SWTOR until the END of the next season. Enjoy Bioware!
