Then close to 9 milion had to have walked away from WoW, because every North American server not named Mal'Ganis (all 7 of them) is a ghost town. Millions seem to be walking away from MMOs period, regardless of IP. But at least TOR's in-game server populations have increased significantly over the last 4 months, and ... look ma! Didn't even need server consolidations to do it!

With an unsubstantiated "2 million+ people walked away from SWTOR - games speak for themselves" I give you the epitome of constructive criticism intended wholeheartedly to support and improve the game and its community.

I thank the stars it isn't like this in-game.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

Complainers have destroyed more than one MMO. None are more susceptible than fledgling titles.
In reference to this suggestion, I offer the following quote by Gamebreaker.tv: "Now maybe the real question should be, “Will we see any wise and patient MMO players in 2013?”

I find it fascinating that you're an expert on W0W - maybe you can send people interested in more information on that game a PM? Because I don't care at all about W0W.

The game went F2P...of course it picked up people...FREE is attractive. The 2 million people comment was aimed at the asinine insinuation that the forum users drove the majority of them away. I wasn't trying to be constructive,it's factual. I was pointing out the stupidity of suggesting 2 million people are lemmings who quit over some negative forum post. Whatever crusade you're trying to start with your reply, save it.

Whatever. If you think people are that stupid, continue to think it. The reality is, bad games fail because they're bad...not because some kids on 4chan make a meme about it.

Complainers do not destroy MMOs. They have no power. Even the "power" they have on forums is irrelevant because the majority of players never visit the forums.

If an MMO is "ruined", blame its developers and only its developers (by that I mean the company including its executives; not just the coders). They are the only people who have any control over the product. Whether or not they choose to listen to player feedback, and which player feedback they listen to, is all on them.

Wise & patient are becoming niche and considered counterproductive to the ADD incubation society brought on by IM, Twitter & texting. Books will become dinosaurs because this new society would rather watch someone else's interpretation of the story crammed into 2 hours than read it for themselves.

What's a book? Is that what those old rotting paper things are in those big quiet musty smelling buildings with the chicks behind the counter hiding their hotness behind glasses and tucked up hair?

I get my reading on my PC, tablet, even phone these days...

Anyway, resubbed a few weeks back and having a blast. This game is underrated and underappreciated by many players, in my opinion. I'm glad to see the population increasing (at least on my server of Jung Ma), and I hope that continues. I'd love for Bioware to be able to fund a full-blown expansion in the coming years. (I'd really like to see guild housing or ships implemented).
I strongly doubt 'whiners' have destroyed any games. There were entire packs of whiners at STO sending death-threats to the devs and at one point a forum poll showed 85% of the people hated the game, but it survived. Millions of screaming imbecilic children leave WoW every day and it does fine.

No, what we have here -- again -- is people who refuse to accept the fact that you're paying for substandard fare. This 'patch' has managed to break Harbinger and rob people of Cartel Coins, ruin armors for lots of people, failed to address most of the bugs brought up, and mostly focused on Cartel Items that no one wants.

Why is is 'bad' that people bring this up , wanting a change?

As far as guild ships and all that, keep dreaming.

Garadan, L65 Jugg- Harbinger
Vongrath, L65 Op - Harbinger

That makes sense then, though I question where that 2 million quitting came from. As for starting or saving a crusade, I merely tend to fly in the face of bull**** ... especially ludicrous bull****.

Anything added to the game is content. It might not be much, or compelling, or something you care at all about, but it is still content.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you get to change the meaning of 500 year old words.
