AoE abilities? non-mouse method for moving GTAoE?

So I played a while back, and have recently returned.

I am trying to determine what AoE abilities Commando have access to.

I know Mortar Volley a GTAoE ability.
Sticky Grenade is a normal AoE.
Explosive Round is a paltry one.

If you go up the Assault spec there is Assault Plastique, which I guess is not on the same timer as Sticky Grenade any more.

There was a Plasma Grenade a while back, but I guess it is gone?

Am I missing anything?

And is there any method for manipulating the ground target ability without a mouse? Any way to have it automatically pop up at max range or something?

Thanks,
Mal

Mortar Volley <- ground targeted
Hail of Bolts <- ground targeted
Pulse Cannon <- frontal cone
Plasma Grenade <- aoe on target
Sticky Grenade <- timed aoe on target
Explosive Round <- aoe on target
Concussion Charge <- aoe on self

No you cannot manipulate the ground targeted AOE without mouse targeting.

Also Assault Plastique is NOT Aoe, unlike sticky grenade
Light Knights: Gecko - Syed - Vor'sann - Joya
Nightmare's Legion: Anhess - Avilus - Wittard - Schroedinger

Ohhhhhh. I thought Assault Plastique was an AoE!

So it is single target only? Thats a huge letdown.
That pretty much changes everything for me.
I might as well stick to Gunnery.

Thanks guys,
Mal

Odd way of thinking about it.

Sticky is the aoe timed grenade for all troopers.

Assault is the much more powerful single target grenade which can be thrown along with sticky grenade limited to Assault only. Again limited if you are Vanguard to 10m vs Commandos 30m.

In terms of why it matters:

1) two unstoppable timed attacks are useful especially in PVP where players will react to a beeping grenade on them. If they use a cooldown on one... use the other afterwards.

2) an AOE effect is not always desirable.

torhead actually has splash damage of about 25% of the single target damage on AP. Is this true?
Even this amount might be helpful.

Yeah, I do see where AE damage might not be the best - but I do love taking out mobs en mass.

wrong, its just like sticky nade, timer aoe centered on target with aoe less then main damage on target.

No, it's not an aoe.

It's a single target attack which beeps on a timer like sticky but will only damage the target it is put on.
