1.BW fanboy, love their games.
2. I love the old republic. Kotor for the win.
3. I have played through 7 of the stories.
4. Pvp is not that bad, my favorite out of any mmo I have played.
5. Not a raid based game but a story based. I will like to see where it goes next.
and the Force beat generic Swords and Magic any day. 8/26/14 That was my old signature but after RotHC, I went back to superheroes and swords and magic. Now waiting on Dragon Age and a SWTOR story expac for my Bioware fix 7/30/15 Returned for KotFE. Finally, a story expac.

5 reasons why I keep playing Swtor? Hmmmmm......don't know if I have 5 but I'll list what I can.

1. It's Star Wars. Plain and simple. I grew up with it. Watched movies, read books, and really always wanted more. And this is more. Good, bad, whatever your opinion is this IS done very well. (The story telling is what I'm referring to there)

2. Which leads me to number 2 is the story. The story is amazing. I have 3 50's, almost 4, 2 for each faction, And the story for all of them has been.......enthralling. Kept me pressing on in some of the side quests that are the same the second time around and get a little boring.

3. The graphics. All of these planets you visit are done so beautifully. The amount of detail in them is just awesome.

That's all I got. I'm not an MMO player. Err, I wasn't. This is my first I have ever played. Highly doubt I'll be playing any other. But anyways, I don't need 5 reasons to keep playing. Hell I don't even need 3. The first one is all I'll ever need. Ok, number two is pretty important. Great thread. Nice change of pace from the usual................never mind......I'll leave it alone. Happy Holidays everyone.

Star Wars fan
Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate
Class Stories, I have to admit I wonder what I am going to do after the stories, since i am not on the daily's treadmill.
I am about as much of a target market player for this game as you can be..
The world stories are cool.
The voice over's
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

5. PvP is pretty much limited to warzones.
I don't love crafting, but I love having every possible schematic if possible. It is hard though especially when crafting earpieces and other things that require you to learn 5 purples from 1 blue. :P

1. Stories. I aim to complete each class story.

2. Star Wars. I love Star Wars.

3. BioWare. Yeah, I love their games.

4. Companions. Their stories can be interesting, and it's fun getting to know each of them.

5. Roleplaying. I roleplay my characters' stories in my head as I play. It's fun.

1. Its the Old Republic setting. Big fan since KOTOR 1&2. Though i do miss the dark jedi and sith trooper looks from the original kotor games. Also kinda put off with republic troops changing into storm/clone troopers

2. Class Stories: I like seeing how each class kinda intertwines in the big picture and how some companions know one another cross faction.

3. Combat: I like how each class plays so far and even the mirrored classes are varied enough with other skills/animations.

4. Legacy: I like having all my characters linked somehow even as minor as it is, makes the intermixing stories seem more interesting. I just wish they had more to show for those of us at legacy 50, at this point id settle for discounts on legacy perks at least if nothing new

5. Ops/Flashpoints: They are a nice break or distraction from the daily grind for credits or comms

1) I can afford to.
2) Sometimes it provides about 15 minutes of distraction before I go back to WoW.
3) I have a feeling it might be half-decent one day.

No 4. No 5.

1. I have friends who play

2. I love Star Wars

3. The class stories, while mediocre at best, are interesting

4. SWGemu, while playable as is, still has a lot of work to be done and this passes the time while more progress is made on it.

5. Nobody has made a Shadowrun MMO (which, if done right, I would play before any MMO that's ever been made, aside from pre-CU SWG)
Pre-CU Bria refugee
Syvari Lun - Cathar Jedi Sage
Darth Vaccina - Twi’lek Sith Sorceress
Anlavi - Pureblood Sith Marauder

I like this thread and read every entry. Some were better than others. Many echoed exactly my reasons for loving this game for over a year now:

1. I've got a great guild. This makes such a big difference in these types of games. Dendarii Mercenary Fleet ftw.

2. Combat mechanics are fun. Assassin and Mercenary are my favorites so far, but I've still got a few more to master.

3. PvP - this is the first MMO where I've really PvP'd a lot. Great job on creating the maps.

4. Star Wars - it's a common theme in this thread.

5. Ops - I like not having add-ons.
