Okay so it's "affordable" at £5.99 for UK Subscribers but it leaves a great many questions unanswered.
Thats my issue as well

From what we know is included thus far

its a content update, not a expansion

The list of whats in the "expansion" needs to grow mightily or its a no go from me (which means ill suddenly be behind everyone and get bored and cancel sub and move on).

I dont really care if its $1.00 or $100.00 at this point in time

"Subscribers will never have to pay for content updates if we bring in the F2P model"

And Im holding them to that

Give me a proper expansion and ill be first inline for it and gladly shell out $10.00-$50.00 for it

But the content listed thus far is NOT a expansion and thus falls under the "content update" statement made by them pre F2P era.
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

Q: What is the status of Makeb and when can we expect it? Schubert: We just did a playthrough of the Imperial story this week. We're far enough along that we are playing through it, reviewing it, making sure it's up to our standards. Hickman: We can't give a timeframe yet. We want to make sure it's good. You should be hearing more about it very soon.

I guess the days of the large expansion are over.
It's DLC now.

Still at least it's cheap.
I have a golden wii stick, what do you have?

10 bucks seems very reasonable to me. I've bought skin packs and DLC items for many other games for a similar pricepoint, which offer alot less for that cash.

To get a new cinematic storyline, and a new planet...seems reasonable to me. Theres alot of doom and gloom that this isnt the "class" storyline...but honestly on my 50's it seems alot like those already completed themselves. Im happy to see a new story. Just because we are all going to do the same one, doesnt mean it wont be an engaging story.

GW has a free xmas event which is the standard for most mmos. The cash shop gear is almost exclusively cosmetic, nothing similar to the end game crystals available on the cartel market.

The cashshop isn't the issue, it is how it is used.

Bioware EA has already surpassed the most doomladen predictions of Cashshop use from just 2 months ago.

It is scary how bad SWTOR had gone cashshop-wise so quickly.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

If they just called it what it is (DLC) I wouldn't mind paying the money.
But Bioware said expansion and this doesn't stack up.
