Clearly says at the bottom there are more features than what is currently listed coming with the x-pac, they will be revealing them down the road as it gets closer to release.

Every other X-pac games release is more expensive than this, hell MoP for WoW was 20$ ON SALE, and this one is half that price to subscribers not on sale...

even GW, which was totally f2p, charged for expansions, as it is how they make the money to continue developing the game

seriously...quit crying
its the fact that this isnt an expansion. Its a planet unlock with a couple of more levels. nothing more. Also, look at MoP. The ammount of content you got for $20 (sure it was on sale but its what Non subbers pay for Swtor Expansion one) is the entire size of the star wars galaxy (MoP) to one planet in that star wars galaxy (Swtor expansion), in content alone...

Can't decide if I'm being fleeced or not lol.

EA is evidently trying to "innovate" in how an MMO markets its content to the users (like with DLCs in SPRPGs) and times will tell if its good business and happy customers or if it just peeves people off.

I cant decide, have to see the amount of content Makeb brings to the table first.

In any case I do hope the existence of digital expansions doesn't eliminate the prospects of "full blown" box sales expansion packs. Say what you will about cata/mop, it's a festive time when expansions hit and they revitalize WoW. I'd be bummed if I could never have the same experience in TOR.

I remember one Ray Muzyka saying that game updates would include things like new planets, wz, etc. and that expansions were something that they were gonna use for a huge influx in content... Where is this 'Huge influx of content' for this 'expansion'

Raising the level cap could potentially screw the entire game. They are only adding 1 planet. how many new flashpoints? How many new ops? Are players just doing to run the same old content, future instance expansion? I have way too many questions to preorder this regardless of the cost. This game has not delivered in the past and I for one am not going to be suckered into pre-ordering anything again. There is nothing worse in an MMO to be out working on gearing yourself up when you know that in a few short months all your gear will be useless. It would have been better for the players if they decided to introduce a true alt advancement system instead of increasing the cap.

So, in summary... save your money/commendations and don't buy anything now because it will all be obsolete in a few months.

Call me crazy, but... to have fun? Yes, most MMOs do it, but that doesn't stop it from being annoying.

I much prefer to pay a small sum for a small expansion that have to shell out 3-4 times as much for the huge WoW expansions.

However no class quests = no purchase from me (Unless my gf forces me lol).
