Nothing for Veterans??

For 1year of subbing to the game, including buying the physical collector edition of the game, I earned 25fireworks.
And an event available on the cash shop (life day).
Except the founder title, everything else was given for another reason. Either f2p change, server transfer, broken game for days... They are not veteran reward.

Thank you Bioware, I truly feel unique, and I can see how much you value my support. Obviously less than my money, but I already knew that.

Played SWG from day one until the last day and no they didnt give you something each month it was for every 3 months of payed subs(if didnt pay for one month you got nothing). They started giving awards on the 3 year anniversery of the game and it was a crappy familiar that gave the most modest boost to stats and gave your position away while cloaking, cuz it wasnt cloaked and you would just see the familiar walking around and you knew where the cloaker was. Later in the game they gave better things but it was mostly garbage you hung up in your house. SWG was fun but not cuz of gameplay, SOE made us make our own content and yes EVERYONE complained then too. Hind sight is always 20/20. SWG is like an old ex girlfriend that you remember fondly now that she is gone, but you forget she gave you crabs. I'm sure most of the complainers wont get that reference cuz they are too busy "Monday morning quarterbacking" about how a multimillion dollar business should give them titles for paying to play a video game, to go out and get a girlfriend.

I don't care if they are not giving us "vets" anything for the 1 year anniverssary. I just enjoy the game, I don't need them to give me some appreciation gift. That doesn't mean I would refuse a Nexu pet, however.

When a company begins to take its customers for granted, then that company has a serious problem.

Does EAware take us for granted? I don't know, but I haven't seen any real evidence that they appreciate my business.

You can call that entitlement if you want. Personally I'd say that EAware is the one acting as though they're entitled.

I assume you're still playing the game because you still enjoy playing the game? Why does that need to be recognised and rewarded? I genuinely struggle to understand why long-term players of a MMO often develop this curious need for Mutley medals. Frankly, if your 'loyalty' proves anything, it's that your continued custom can probably be taken for granted.

And SWTOR being that is every concern to every player of this game (and the Devs too).

Never mind that what they have done is very poor in the context of 1 year rewards and a complete ripoff in the context of Life Day.
Thanks for not answering my questions. Obviously you are blinded by your passion behind your opinions.

Few here probably know who Mutley is, but that is an interesting analogy, since Mutley demanded a medal before he would save the whole squadron.

Long-time subscriber's are the ones who kept investing in this game while others quit. If everyone had quit in March, we wouldn't have the luxury of having this discussion right now, so yeah maybe a medal and/or a nod is in order.

The nod was your complimentary coins, party jawa, and for CEs a banner. How you view any of it is your own opinion, but they didn't have to give you anything, and it was for being a loyal subscriber. Sure they were buggy with delivery, but that is a minor issue, as the intent was still there.

This got me thinking. I've had a WoW account continuously since launch yet they've never offered any veteran rewards. I guess in their case they could always afford to take customers loyalty for granted. I don't think WoW has ever given me anything as a reward except the pets they used to give for logging in each year on the anniversary. They even stopped that.

On the other hand I used to love getting my rewards in SWG, most of the time they were worth having too. Even if it's something small it's nice to feel appreciated for sticking with a game for years. So far one year with this one , hopefully more to come

the one thing I would absolutely love if they did, was significantly lower the purchase price of lvl 50 preorder crystals. they are far to expensive right now IMO. I'd love to use them, but I just cannot justify the cost of buying them. that or give people a free first crystal (voucher would probably be best, so that you could exchange it for the stats you'd prefer) and keep the cost the same for all subsequent crystals.
I think its fair and acknowledges people who were there since early access nicely.

that said... I think reward that they gave was extra cartel coins. the longer you subscribed, the more of them you got. CE got extra coins. so did digital deluxe buyers (would I have wanted more coins then someone who bought it at reduced price, when I paid full $20 at launch? sure. but at the same time - such as the nature of buying things early, vs buying them on sale)

I don't expect anything else from BW for me just having been there from the beginning. There's no reason to.
you can buy a lvl 50 version with equivalent stats for other lvl 50 crystals, but its $250,000 for lvl 50 version. vendor is on the fleet and has low level version (for your companions if you so wish), lvl 47 version and the above
